I worked in the financial services industry. The government made a point of holding the banks and brokerage houses accountable if their businesses were used to commit financial crimes like money laundering. We spent a lot time and money guarding against this.

I can't see any reason to have more than 4 bank accounts. Primary checking, direct deposit, savings, business. If you have 5, it's time for an audit. But 300?! I have 2 accounts and when I go to a bank or call them, they see all of my accounts. All bankers should be trained to flag this for review.

Irrespective of the number of accounts held the insured amount is $250000 per institution or $500000 if joint. Maybe IRA’s protected separately up to 250k. Prudent policy would be to have accounts in multiple institutions rather than multiple accounts in single institutions

This should have been prosecuted just like the 103 counts of money laundering at Trump's Taj Mahal casino. Slot machines were used to pay Russian operatives. Just think our EVMs use the same platform as the slot machines. James Baker used it as an example of how an insider could rig the EVMs.

That's not excessive for a large intl corporate organization with many companies and divisions. It's not just 300. Trump Org does business with just about every large bank in the world. That's not unusual for Intl companies. It's not unheard of but doesn't mean they aren't being used illegally.

It's not unusual for corporations to have a lot of accts for various things and for them to be across many different banks. It's not just 300 of the same kind of acct. There are different types and many things require an acct just for that one thing. Every division of his Orgs needs their own too.
