I think it doesn't reflect well on the BBC that one its leading presenters is allowed to write an 'analysis' for a highly partisan newspaper which includes lines like "Racial minorities, worshipped by white Democrats" www.dailymail.com/news/article...

dailymail.comWEBB: Trump may be routed at polls and I think it could be a calamityIt's relentless and each single insinuation, in spite of all of them being entirely false, might have been enough to see poor James Talarico off. So why is he still ahead in the polls?

Have I understood this correctly? He makes light of ICE murdering people and kidnapping parents, resulting in kids abandoned in the street whilst also saying the Dems shouldn't go after Trump and his type because it is looking backwards when people want America fixed?

It was a few decades ago now, when a Rod Liddle newspaper piece - when editor of Today - led to a crackdown on this sort of thing. Feels like it should be renewed.

*True he has effectively closed the border but he followed it up with an unpopular and occasionally violent crackdown on immigrants living blameless lives" Closed the border? Wtf .. and why does that sound like a good thing? And about this years-long ''non violent" anti-immigrant terror campaign

It genuinely ought to be a formal complaint to Ofcom. It would be utterly inappropriate language in a BBC broadcast, and there should be no room to hide behind it being done outside the BBC. Lineker wasn't allowed to express certain views on Twitter; the same rule cuts both ways.

I think it chimes really well with senior BBC politics & the Today programme editorial policy. Webb fits the mould perfectly. Rw interviewees given free rein; Lw interviewees continually interrupted; 40 unbroken minutes of Reform on BBC News yesterday; Burnham cut off mid-speech. News? Partisanship.

We have to be aware that the BBC is a full on right wing Goebels propaganda outfit. It’s ok for presenters to voice outright racist comments off the platform, but if like Lineker you criticise the government for racist policies, you’re ostracised.

No it isn't. BBC News is on the way, though no where near propaganda territory. The rest of the BBC is entirely different and undermining it is doing the detractors job for them.

What reflects even worse on the BBC is that a media journalist quite as average and ineffectual as him might be considered one of its leading presenters.

Especially when this is a high profile news anchor, and other BBC employees outside the news agenda have been disciplined or booted for much less, but on the opposite political wing. If I was Robin Ince right now I'd be phoning a lawyer.

It's only a problem if you have more left wing and humanitarian views. The impartiality should apply more to someone presenting news and current affairs, but the BBC seems to be selective in that regard. Andrew Neil always seemed to be able to say what he liked on his personal social media too. 🤔🙄

He works for the highly partisan BBC news and current affairs. They're all pro-Israel and pro-Reform. They present right-wing thinktanks as if they're neutral. They present the Green Party as loony tree-huggers. And they completely ignore the LibDems, despite the number of MPs and local councillors.
