Yes but the problem is they don’t ask for papers. They detain you immediately and worry about papers later. ICE agents just want to meet quotas. People with accents and non-white skin color have no rights until after a couple of weeks in detention.

I’m not convinced that ICE is really very interested in looking at any evidence you have of citizenship. There only concern is your color.

Advice I received from an immigration attorney. Carry copies of citizenship papers and have copies close -- at work, in car, with trusted person. Don't carry original docs because ICE can them. Have trusted person who can get original. Memorize that person's phone number in case phone is taken.

I'm a Latino... born and raised in the USA... I carry a US Passport and my real ID everytime I leave my house... not that it'll do any good.. those mf'ers at ICE are throwing anyone with a brown face in a van and you're gone.. it happens everyday where I live.. bounty hunters masquerading as LE...

Likely family or friends will never be notified when they disappear. What should we tell kids about men with masks and unmarked vans trying to grab them and take them? Cooperate? WTH?
