One more anecdotal success here, though for golfers elbow. Flexbar plus exercises with a small sledge hammer (pronation, supination, flexion, extension: change how far you hold from head for more or less effort) while on work calls. 2 week improvement. Far better than a brace.

I don’t want to be “that guy” but mine is so much better following some graston work and some ultrasound with some tape support. She was a chiropractor but also not really (no cracking or weird stuff. It still loaches occasionally but it’s not like it was

If you'd like a recommendation: After rest, anti-inflammatories and ice there is something I've seen players get relief from over the years. Fill a container that's just big enough for your hand to stretch into with rice. Push your hand in flat and make a fist, 15-20 times. Do 2-3 sets. Might help

i got a charley horse getting out of bed yesterday and im still limping 24+ hours later. this is just what being 40 is i guess

49 is a charley horse from stretching my legs in bed before I even started to get out I’ve also made my jaw muscles swell up visibly from yawning too hard

It really depends on you and how bad the tear is… PT can absolutely work but didn’t for me. I needed surgery, which helped immensely although I still get twinges and can’t really put a lot of weight on it, lift anything overhand, etc

trying to get PT advice on YouTube is funny at least. 50 billion variations on NEVER/ALWAYS do massage, stretching, exercises etc, doctors hate this, you’re doing it WRONG, half by chiropractor quacks

If you’ve done the rest and nsaids thing for more than a month, go to an orthopedic sports medicine dr and get a steroidal/lidocaine shot. It will reduce the inflammation and get it back to normal. Unless there is structural damage it is pretty a one and done thing.

If you don't have one already l, get a Chattanooga gel ice pack. It is like some weird clay-like gel that stays cold for a long time and really conforms to joints like knees. Really is a game changer for ice packs.
