Luckily, as a molecular virologist I know what to do and will just follow my own advice. It’s worked pretty well for me in the last pandemic and will again in the next one; which may be just around the corner. Unfortunately, it’s not gonna help the price of eggs or milk. 😅

It's like 4 bucks at my local grocery store for a dozen cage free eggs (our only option in Michigan). Yesterday I got a carton of 18 cage free eggs for a little over 7 bucks, or about 41 cents per egg. It's really not that deep, it was just an excuse for people to support a facist.

I read Vit E helps shorten the eggless/molt time as well as give that hard egg shell. Having lost some chicks to Vit E deficiency and soft eggshell problems despite calcium and grit supplements

The only people in my life who complain about prices are the same people driving around in lifted, diesel 350’s for no reason at all. My cousins has one. He works in an office. “Everything is too expensive” he says, blames Biden, of course. Gets 10 mpg in an $80,000 truck to sit at a desk.

I just happened to have a half dozen eggs that are glassed and sitting on my counter. You can only glass unwashed eggs but once in the brine, they can stay good for up to two years. These babies are going to make me some $$ in a year or so!

I had considered it difficult but no, have air tight containers, not too high,[4 egg level] Find hydrated lime calcium hydroxide, add 1 oz to 40 oz water, carefully place clean fresh non wiped eggs in making sure good coverage, keep in cool dark place, top up if fluid evaporates =use normally

I rarely buy eggs, because I tend to buy them and not eat them. Today I decided I'd make a breakfast casserole. The egg supply at my grocery was pretty pitiful and much more expensive than when I last bought them. I decided to go another direction.
