If you have kids you might think a little harder about vaccines.

So, yeah, I've thought about vaccinating my kids since BEFORE I had them. Because I can't imagine making them go through the type of pain I saw my brother go through with whooping cough. Because with less than 150 measles infections in TX a kid already died.

Most people who are anti-vaxxers grew up receiving all their vaccines and they don't think about the amount of pain involved in fighting off a vaccine preventable disease because a lot of them have never seen the effects. Watching your brother turn blue from coughing makes you reconsider things.

I didn't, but my younger brother had whooping cough. He survived, but it was the 80s, no doctor knew what to do, I remember us needing to drive to a specialist. And the coughing was awful. I can't imagine putting my kids through that.
