Spent today in the ER for possible heart attack. I’m ok. But it was scary. Called emergency line with doc, I woke up in a puddle of sweat and was chilling and hot flashing every 30 minutes but had no fever and had chest tightness. Nurse said call 911 NOW. Hate my first thought was about ambulance $

My heart was beating fast, I was severely dehydrated (likely due to sweats), gave IV, chest Xray, CT scan, blood work. Blood triggered possible alarm of blood clot, great! Got ultrasound on my legs. All clear but guess what, I have pneumonia! But also the hormonal issues. It all made it worse.

Having worked at 2 hospitals with code silver (violent weapon attack) alerts; the bag check is needed. But as the nurse said; usually it waits till you get to the room and initial assessment if you are alone.

Yikes, that sounds scary and awful — so glad you got care and are on the mend. Also hope you can catch a break after this!

Yikes! Glad you are some version of okay. I had a couple years of health scares like that and it takes a lot out of you mentally and physically.

I'm so sorry things are seeming to line up against you; I hope you can get what you need and have some time to recuperate. I'm so freaking sorry, and I'm glad you're alright considering.
