Why aren't these CEOs proud of AI? Are you not calling it the future and just a tool? Shouldn't you be happy to have it disclosed? Why do you want to hide its use?

I have a social media app called Hey.Cafe I got because I wanted to support a Canadian app and it's literally just "Facebook is banned from posting the news in Canada so here's the news now"

Chain Gang of 1974 made four great songs this year: Thinking of You Crying Tired to Shine Forever Your Star Thinking of You might end up my favourite just because of its reference to Slow on the FELT album.

TNN refusing to give ECW even five minutes for a single overrun compared to TBS giving AEW infinite overruns for as long as they want to go tells you the difference in relationships.

Okada has been great but because people want him hitting 7 star matches weekly they always feel let down. Punk's great in-ring work needs at Brawl Out. He never had anything close to the Mox match following. Most of the Collision stuff is Cope level followed by a wildly overrated Joe match in UK.

I'm not even sure AEW Catchphrase Okada has been markedly better in-ring, to be honest. His baseline as a worker is so much better than Punk's that it probably has, but he has coasted so much. In-ring, Punk was a massive success at AEW. And that's not even counting the ratings and tix he moved.

The reality is that absolutely anyone can be James Bond. It's a basic character, not much special to it, you can adjust where needed, etc. I'm looking at Louden, Turner, and O'Connor and they all feel like Treadstone agents over 007. I would personally go with Jack O'Connell if I was Amazon.

Gonna say this isn't blackface but if someone did the same look but for the Wolfpac it would be.

By the way, if anyone listening to the WCW section of the latest @btsheetspod.bsky.social wanted to see IAccidental?) Blackface nWo Fan, here he is:

I honestly believe that for North Americans it's going to take a generation for them to get out of boosting rage bait. I blame The Daily Show for this. It was entirely designed to show dumb politicians and say, "See how dumb this is? Ha ha!" and that's the only way they know how to engage now.

Rafa Sales Ross@rafiews.com

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

Twitter was the next step as it's all about dunking. Bluesky doesn't have as much, but the 2010s were built on it. People can't help but share someone saying or doing something they dislike so they can go SEE I'M SHOWING EVERYONE HOW MUCH I THINK THIS IS DUMB AND BAD and it doesn't help.

I don't think dunking and shitting on the bad side will ever go away because humans should be expressing themselves in all ways but we need to stop thinking that dunking on stuff is praxis. It doesn't actually get things done. It's just a reaction.

SHE NEEDED A.I. TO ANSWER AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK: COME UP WITH THREE THINGS THAT MADE HER DAUGHTER SPECIAL. HER DAUGHTER! SHE NEEDED A.I. TO ANSWER THIS! SHE NEEDED A.I. TO TELL HER THAT HER DAUGHTER LOVED ANIMALS. FOR A 5TH GRADE ASSIGNMENT. SHE WAS OVERWHELMED BY THE RANGE AND COMPLEXITY.

David Gura@davidgura.bsky.social

cool, cool

I am beyond tired of all these people who are suddenly incapable of the easiest shit. We used to laugh at infomercials for As Seen On TV products where people were absolutely incapable of doing the simplest tasks. Now we spend trillions to cater to those people. What the fuck!

It's important for me to break down that paragraph. - A 10 year old had a school assignment to answer 3 things unique about them - The mother considered this so difficult she needed to build an AI to answer it - The AI provided three generic responses - The mother did the daughters homework for her

I don't know what this is in reference to but I once again have to bang the drum that rehabilitation and accepting people back into society is the only way you can have a society. Yes, some abusers keep abusing. But many reform. Stop being a child screaming love means never saying you are sorry.

"Nobody checks if they changed" or rather the internet has a very rigid viewpoint of "change" that usually means they just want the person dead so they can say good riddance to a dead abuser.

Whenever I see supposed progressives talk about "abusers" the same way the right talks about criminals it's fucking frustrating. If someone wrongs you or wrongs someone you know you can choose your level of forgiveness. But people deserve a chance to live as something other than their sins.

I'm honestly at the point where I don't trust recent modding/hacking stories I've heard and I'm waiting for the dust to be cleared as to who is still legit and who is vibe coding.

RareAlone@rarealone.bsky.social

My own two cents on spotting genAI crap within retro game modding/hacking & homebrew communities: One of the easiest telltale signs of something being vibecoded is if the "project"/"mod"/"hack" in question uses a particular faux "pixel font" with zero variation:

PROTIP: It's never wrong to ask for a source. If someone posts something and you don't know where it's from? Just ask for the source. It's always okay. It should also be your question before asking, "Is this AI slop?" because it's offensive to accuse actual art as slop.

Even finding things is a skill. Finding writing, finding art, finding music, etc. Someone put work into finding these things and putting them out there. Curating. Building playlists. That's why we provide sources. If they refuse to provide a source? Now you can follow with the next question.

Whenever you feel like we've lost our minds as a society remember that a few decades ago people were listening to music backwards. Hours and hours of listening to music backwards. To try and find hidden messages that rarely existed. We will always find ways to be stupid.

You are the Bang Dogs stop fighting it

All Elite Wrestling bot@aewbot.bsky.social

“We are top-shelf high rollers, the golden gun slingers, some dirty dogs, your collision cowboys. We are the last outfit capable of slicing out the cancer that is Jon Moxley & the Death Riders from the heart of AEW! We are The Cut.” @JayWhiteNZ after #AEWCollision Tonight!!

The other day I pointed out how Adam Copeland getting pinned at Dynasty in a trios match is why he gets trusted even though he so far has only lost 1v1 matches to Christian and Mox. Bobby Lashley has never been pinned in AEW.

David BASTARDspan@davidbix.com

On X, The Everything App, MVP is very insistent today that the Hurt Syndicate have not resisted doing jobs in AEW.

What kills me is that all Bobby had to do is a best of three feud with Swerve Strickland. He probably would have won the feud too but he had to lose one to him and clearly it never happened. One and done. Never again. The aura of Hurt Syndicate died for me when MVP decided to wrestle.

20 years from now when someone does a video reel of the most embarrassing performances in AEW history, MVP blowing up in 30 seconds then doing his WWE spots from the mid 2000s will be on it. It sucks because I like MVP. His ego needed to be checked before he embarrassed himself. Alas.

I have essentially beaten Octopath Traveler 0! 110 hours is pretty decent for a game. There's an optional dragon boss I can fight but that's pretty much it. I can play something else next. Finally play Disco Elysium? Haha maybe. Finish FF Tactics? Eh. Mario Kart? Perhaps.

"Weirdly incapable" or are there other giant factors of fucking bullshit that make it hard to actually enjoy the spoils of progression?

Max Fawcett@maxfawcett.bsky.social

My unpopular but persistent belief is that almost everything in our lives has gotten better and we’re weirdly incapable of seeing it.

I'm glad I ended up watching this game because I've been pissed about the Habs undisciplined play and taking so many bad penalties but this game despite like four penalties I would say they were at fault for only one of them.

When I was just getting into music my best friend was a few years older and was really into the Smashing Pumpkins. It was the first major test for me on whether I'd pretend to like something just to fit in. I didn't. We drifted. Pumpkins have a few good songs and the rest suck. Zwan sucks too.

I have been honest about how later I did kinda pretend to like bands like KoRn and Limp Bizkit. Not that they didn't have a few songs I liked but there was music I liked a lot more. I was absolutely posing to fit in until like grade 10. That's when I dropped any band I didn't actually like.
