Over the past… decade really, I’ve dealt with a lot of illness, disability, and death in my family, with more on the near horizon. It has been a humbling experience in many ways. It has taught me a lot. The first of which, is we should take care of each other. Lift each other up. Love your neighbor.

Shocking. Or would be, if it wasn’t totally foreseeable.

I love this photo of Gloria Richardson. That look that says how DARE you wave that weapon in my face. Disdain. Disgust. No fear. We should all have such disdain for injustice and violence. Especially when it comes from the state.

Rep. Delia C. Ramirez has introduced a bill that would abolish not just ICE, but the DHS altogether, repealing the 2002 law establishing the agency and replacing it with one focused on protecting civil and human rights.

I studied science, not history. I remember way more about American history from 1930-50 than I do from 1890-1920. Problem is, my lifetime has looked a lot more like the last turn of the century than I ever would have guessed. History doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes.

Tax billionaire wealth. I frankly don't care if a billionaire can make a second billion. I'd rather have the average person be able to make their first $100k.

Replying to @propublica.org

Collectively, the cases we’ve documented show that as the administration has relentlessly pursued immigrants, it has run roughshod over the constitutional rights of citizens, too, and on a scale not seen in generations. Read our full story:

In 2025, I lost my dad to dementia. I helped caretaker for him intermittently for ~18 months before he passed (he was on hospice at home). I have seen it up close. I am frightened and slightly sick from what I’m reading here. But I’m not shocked, because we have been witnessing the signs for years.

The surveillance state of it all should be terrifying to everyone who lives, works, or visits in the United States. I desperately hope these audits are conducted by or in partnership with third-parties. Data can be faked or manipulated, but a trained eye can spot tells. Devil’s in the details.

A good step for ICE accountability — after raising hell, I’ve secured an investigation into ICE’s widespread surveillance. We need oversight into how ICE is using facial recognition, social media dossiers, and more to monitor all of us.
