This week on The Qasim Rashid Show: SNAP is not welfare for hungry people. It's corporate welfare for companies exploiting low-income people. Healthcare is a human right and corporations should offer living wages. Subscribe to my human rights newsletter with no paywall: qasimrashid.com/subscri…

Epstein survivor: "Today we stand in a moment that will decide whether our government still belongs to the American people or to those who prey on them."

Use goodrx or other low cost alternatives. The way he is grifting is absolutely disgusting 🤮. Forbes advertising for it— also disgusting.

Trump announced popular weight loss treatments would be offered directly on a new “TrumpRx.gov” website at lower prices.

GOP: We support everyone who planned, participated in the insurrection, including attacking police. We will cover up pedo/sex-trafficking rings & ignore attempts to murder our Dem colleagues. Dems: OK, but if we reopen the Gov do you pinkie swear to have a vote on healthcare? GOP: Sure.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Trump's tariffs are hurting us in two ways: First, the obvious: Higher costs → either lower profits or higher prices. Second, more subtle (perhaps bigger): We’ve signaled we’re an unreliable partner, so allies are reorganizing supply chains to avoid us. That's hard to unwind.

I just wish the CEO of Novo Nordisk would have turned to President Trump and said “that would be very communist of you to force a company to ‘give a piece’ to the government when it demands it” -or something like that.

Trump to the Novo Nordisk CEO: "Maybe you should give us a piece of the company like I've been asking for."

Newsom: You can see it; you can read between the lines over the last few weeks. He’s nowhere to be found. The guy’s out on an island. Honestly, I felt like he was away last week and he didn’t even matter. You saw him today trying to get back in the game: “Hey, what about me?”

It has to be election interference to say you will deny funds to a city (as potus) if they vote for a certain candidate. It's illegal, it's unethical, it’s domestic terroism. He should be arrested as should the elected & appointed scaffolding that is fundamentally anti-constitution.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance. The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income. They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive. Wanna fix fraud and abuse? Fix that.

We knew he wasn’t gonna go peacefully last time. If people aren’t planning and preparing now for the transition— however it occurs— it’s going to be so much worse than last time Reminder: he’s only the visible part of the iceberg. If it’s not happening— we’re already behind.

This is what I want my America to look like. It can’t undo what has been done— but acknowledging it meaningfully matters. Ignoring historical injustice will always hold all of society back from actual greatness. Here’s a dose of humanity. www.theartnewspaper.com/2025/10/29/m...

Terrorism: the unlawful use of violence & intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. ✅ ICE ✅Mike Johnson— Americans must be denied access to healthcare & we’re gonna deny access to food in the meantime Intimidation, fear, violence & chaos.

Combating food insecurity for a subset of the population helps everyone & doesn’t deny others of anything. Expecting government agencies to act within legal frameworks set forth by the Constitution & laws shouldn’t be considered a radical expectation.

The elected and appointed officials who deny American’s their inalienable rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are domestic terrorists. And, should be ABLE to be removed from their positions & held accountable for any & all civil & criminal acts— immediately.

I know we’ve struggled as a Nation to grapple with the concept and definition of domestic terrorism. But, ffs if American’s being held hostage physically, financially, socially, &/or economically by anyone foreign or domestic isn’t - then nothing is.

Remind me— how much for that ballroom? Have to ask yourself— why would he, this administration, or any American would want other Americans to struggle or suffer? I don’t think it matters where you align politically haven’t we struggled or suffered enough- collectively at 1-point or another.

So Argentina gets a $40 billion bailout from our tax dollars but devastated small towns here at home — nothing.

This is exactly it!

This (moderate) level of racial competency is VERY rare for someone of this demo; white folks should’ve been listening to and learning from people like this for decades. Sadly, it’s too late to dismantle racism, now. Racism has won. White America chose it instead of a hyper-qualified Black Woman. 🙁

It would be really cool if we could be distracted by someone —anyone w/ proof —could point to all the spots on the map where America has been made better—significantly improved, more resilient, thriving, or just genuinely happier.

😤Instead of highly publicized murder— we argue over but do and say nothing meaningful about. Ever. 🤷‍♀️maybe we could discuss what’s going to happen when the genuine Epstein files are released… Or— are we just nosy & just wanna know — will there be socia, legal or, political consequences?

Just to be clear: Brian Kilmeade *did not* endorse euthanizing homeless people. He advocated MURDERING over 700,000 of them. And on a network that has been *beside itself* over the murder of just one man this week.

It’s starting to feel intentional. How long until people are afraid to fly to DC? Who wouldn’t want people to visit and travel to DC?

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA): “He fired thousands of veterans across the govt. His team carelessly shares info that puts our pilots at risk. He doesn’t care to know about missing American soldiers? What more proof do we need that this man doesn’t give a damn about the heroes who protect us?”

Trump pulled the nomination of Elise Stefanik for US Ambassador to the UN. The recent special election results and poll numbers caused Trump and Mike Johnson to hit the panic button. And that's just the beginning. Catch up on today's news now:

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously. Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.
