Over and over I keep seeing politicos describe trans girls as "men", or advocate restrictions on trans healthcare; and trans people get upset; and rankfile Democrats look at us upset and go wow, I just don't understand why these online transes are getting so upset about sports

Mallory Moore@sexabolition.blog

Sports got chosen because they're a really good way of keeping people fantasising about trans bodies, being a communal space for embodied being.

The reason “male socialization” and the idea that trans women are new to oppression is so insidious, is that it implies that we chose to give away the convenience of male privilege and that we some how wasted it / maintain some advantage from it, which is not only baseless but deeply transphobic

Imagine your name was Bob Johnson and one guy running for election was like "My entire platform is that we've gotta kill Bob Johnson" then the other guy's like "I believe in healthcare for all, gun law reforms, and that we must kill Bob Johnson at all costs"

there's been a trend, i think because of tallerico, to assume that dems who go anti-trans do so against their convictions out of cowardice. the reality is that a lot of democrats do feel we are less human than them and their families and are proud to say so.

Found it genuinely moving to see that and oh my god are we deprived of the merest inclusion over here in the UK that something as small and simple as that would seem unspeakably radical

I know absolutely nothing about Lula except that i saw someone share a clip on insta of him in celebration kissing a trans woman politician on the cheek and oh my god is that a radical act for a politician in 2026 so lets fucking go

“protein enriched chocolate chip cookie” is kinda the perfect synthesis of the conflicting american male desires to be a spartan warrior and also five years old

People are like "be careful of that trans woman, she was socialised male so she's dangerous" and then you look at her and see the most timid creature in the world who has never heard "I love you" from someone who didn't hurt her

Elaine reposted

no one cares about trans women in women’s sports and you are, most generously, the worlds biggest idiot if you take it at face value as an earnest concern had by real voters

I notice that you never see the people on the left very very genuinely wokely worried about how "we can't cancel people forever for tiny mistakes :(" talk or worry about shit like this.

Another one here where the British press just smashed fuck out of a member of the public’s life for no good reason, just because they wanted to and nobody will stop them doing at. And they’re still going, even now.

They're revolting one-sided propaganda machine. The BBC is a weapon of evil against trans people.

Mr. Hot Mulligan: Here's your wrestling theme boss, full of anti capitalist angst just like you asked

Elaine@actuallythemoon.bsky.social

I had totally missed that they got Hot Mulligan to write Kyle Fletcher's new theme. And somehow it's one of their songs I enjoyed the most.

I wonder if there's one guy who LOVES "the areas of this map connect non-linearly and you have to guess the correct order of directions to leave" puzzles and just sneaks into studios at night to put it into games. Cause it's the only rational reason I can imagine for it to be such a prevalent trope.

The true horror is these superhero movies I guess. We went through all the new Gunn's DC universe stuff and somehow CW's The Flash is still the better piece of DC comic-book media. And that's the show that randomly added light incest to the character for no reason. #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched

Medical professionals have a long history of neglecting us to death at our most vulnerable moments, whether it's laying on the pavement after a car accident or ending up in the hospital after an ambulance ride. I don't want to think about how many trans women they've killed, it is certainly a lot

theotheories.bsky.social@theotheories.bsky.social

If they will do this to a trans woman with the most urgent, life threatening but treatable cancer, how can any trans person trust it won't happen to us for something less urgent? Theres a lot of delusional optimism that they'll "find a solution". But they didn't for Joelle and now she's dead.

It's by design. It's a corporately engineered culture.

I do wish video game people had less affection for studio names and more familiarity with people’s names. I feel it does BioWare a disservice to collapse the entire studio to what it was in 2010

The Women’s Rights Network are now attacking the mental health charity Mind for supporting trans people with their mental health during a time of unprecedented attacks on their rights. These are the “legitimate concerns” “worthy of respect in a democratic society” the Labour Party has normalised.

The fact that we stopped producing "Person with quirky job uses their skills in their quirky job to solve whodunit crimes of the week" tv shows is a clear sign of the degeneration of the fabric of society.

You would think if we were elitist I wouldn’t be stuck living with my parents and unable to get a job outside of YouTube at 35 despite having a PhD, guess it’s a new secret kind of elite where you have no money, power, stability, or ability to advocate for yourself

Something we'll eventually have to reckon when looking at how bleak this kind of pop media has gotten to (be it this case, how mind-numbing the whole "short content" form is, or many other things), is that most people Want and Like this. That views counter doesn't lie.

There’s that word ‘clarity’ again. 🙄 The guidance from NHS England cannot be implemented in a ‘way that is safe and inclusive of trans and non-binary people’, because it is not intended to do that! The BMA missed its opportunity to push back ages ago: this will fall on deaf ears.

TransActual@transactualuk.bsky.social

"We are calling for urgent clarity from NHS England on how employers can implement the guidance in a way that is safe and inclusive of trans and non-binary people...who are becoming ever more fearful of harassment and discrimination when accessing healthcare". www.bma.org.uk/news-and-opi...

Has anyone seen a single Labour MP comment on Labours trans hospital ban? I can't see that even Nadia Whittome has Yet our so-called 'allies', self-serving cunts, will soon be again carping on about how much they support us. As long as it doesn't involve criticising Burham's efforts get rid of us.

The germans need to invent a hyperspecific word for the feeling you get when you're listening to a record, and you suddenly remember a song was your ringtone/alarm tone years ago. (The opening riff of Opeth's The Funeral Portrait just gave me sleepy high school mornings flashbacks)
