bitsy is such a staple of indie game dev and has been a huge part of my own game dev journey - i can't believe it's 10!!!! will absolutely be making something for this jam, and if you love bitsy as much as i do, would definitely recommend making something for it yourself

bitsy has been such a huge part of my creative life for suuuch a long time now... i made my first bitsy game in 2018, and i still use the sensibilities i honed there on each of my corgispace games... i made around 20 little games in bitsy, culminating in adamatomic.itch.io/salvage-8841 in 2024!

Games went astray when they stopped giving every room or screen a name and showing that name at the top of the screen.

rare progress post about my engine Sugar: I've been adding a bunch of control characters you can use in strings to get visual effects, like changing the color, the font, or shaking part of the text etc... the whole text on this gif is one single print call!

Good weekend all, I’m trying to compile a list of (short, like SHORT short) first person/3D art games, ideally with land art or megaliths or otherwise cool landscape stuff. Any and all suggestions very welcome.

Shareware game Mega Peril Snake (1996) by Digital Sheep/Beau Chesluk (a programmer on Perfect Dark (2000)). Features distinctive burp/belch sound effects when eating the animated abstract shapes, and a child's voice saying "have a good day!" when you exit. On "Galaxy of Games: Arcade Action" CD

I really want to find the exact version of snake (pc game) that I played as a kid. It had very beautiful art (prerendered 3d? somewhat psychedelic?) and tons of cool levels where the walls formed cool patterns or drawings. Maybe it'll be on eXoWin9x..
