Through the end of August 2026, the House was in session for roughly 383 hours total. That’s an average of about 48 hours per month. Their average monthly floor time is well below the 80-hour monthly threshold the same Congress imposed on Medicaid recipients.

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.

Jesus Christ. Every Sunday host should be asking every Republican if they think Tim Walz murdered Melissa Hortman. And when they say no, ask what it says about this president that he’s amplifying this garbage.

The editors of the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) were apparently fired today. The precursor to MMWR began in 1878 to address emerging public health threats rapidly. We are not “great” without it. We are vulnerable to threats from sporadic foodborne illness to bioterrorism.

Let me say the same thing today, in the wake of Charlie Kirk's death, as I said when Brian Thompson was assassinated, when the CDC campus was shot & a police officer lost his life, and when school shootings happen: *Violence is never the answer.* Our rhetoric & actions need to make that clear. 💔

Q: If Trump is gonna ban mail-in voting is he gonna make voting day a national holiday to help people deal with the massive lines? A: Of course not. Because it isn’t about voter fraud, it’s about voter suppression.

Some ACA subsidies are set to expire soon — increasing insurance premiums by as much as 75%. Instead of extending them, the GOP gutted Medicaid — throwing 10 million off coverage and possibly causing the closure of many rural hospitals. Trump's "concept" of a health care plan.

Making America healthy? 🤔😕🛟

Kevin Hall@kevinh-phd.bsky.social

After 21 years at my dream job, I’m very sad to announce my early retirement from the National Institutes of Health. My life’s work has been to scientifically study how our food environment affects what we eat, and how what we eat affects our physiology.

Know your GOP lies. One GOP talking point on the budget: “the word ‘Medicaid’ isn’t in the bill.” True—but the bill directs the committee overseeing Medicaid to cut an amount impossible to hit WITHOUT cutting Medicaid. They are lying. Again. kffhealthnews.org/news/article...
