🚨 Toforest Johnson will not be executed after 25+ years on death row! He has long maintained his innocence, and the Governor of Alabama just granted him clemency. The courts reviewing his pending appeals will now decide whether his conviction should be overturned.

This should set off a siren in every defence ministry in Europe: there needs to be much more urgency about developing autonomous capabilities, not subject to US caprices, for early warning of attacks, countering ballistic missiles, communicating with forces or controlling offensive weapons.

The question shouldn't be "What went wrong" but why was Tennessee trying to execute Christa Pike. I'm vehemently opposed to the death penalty for numerous reasons, this cruel, botched attempt merely highlights again why it should be abolished.
