Black voters are turning out in huge numbers in NC. Interestingly, the biggest increases in turnout are coming from younger voters.

So imagine how pleasantly surprised I was when I found out the other guest on this Bloomberg segment was none other than the OG @alondra.bsky.social. We had to go to the show talking about wall street to have 2 Black women be the ones discussing AI. (not sure where Alondra's Dr/Prof. title went tho)

I have started being in the habit of asking who their other guests are & sometimes declining press requests after finding because the outlets I'd expect to be politically aligned with have been platforming literal eugenicist cultists to talk about "AI" and asking me to appear with or after them.

They want someone to draw an adorable mascot that will make everyone feel warm and fuzzy about universal surveillance. One imagines a drawing of some cute owl or something atop a pole, staring through binoculars with an adorable look of curiosity.

Wrote and produced. Chief Justice Roberts, long celebrated as an institutionalist, was always a wolf in sheep’s clothing, hiding behind procedural moves and an unearned reputation even as he has radically expanded executive power while weakening Black political power.

Thread below, but, as to what the administration has actually done, there has been nothing besides DOJ saying, "We're continuing to follow a temporary court order blocking us from implementing the fund." There may be more coming, but this is not that.

I've seen Marc Caputo's internally inconsistent story — though he leads with the "It's dead for now" quote, he later says nothing's final until announced and quotes someone as saying "nothing is final until it's final" — so I'll read it more as, "Some WH folks realize this is a no-go in Congress."

Religious appeals are commonplace in the context of wartime, but Hegseth is doing something different entirely. He's expressing open contempt for limits on the military while also claiming God's sanction for *maximum violence and killing.* 4/ newrepublic.com/article/2083...

I think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.

In every single major escalation by this regime, they began w disfavored groups and sure enough, extended it to the mainstream. It began with college activists, turned into an attack on all of academia. A war on “illegals” transformed into a full blown assault on blue communities.

Now this regime claims Trump’s army can dispense with the 4th amendment and enter anyone’s home without a warrant. And suddenly draconian actions like this make sense. The instructions to explicitly violate our fundamental rights are coming from the top down. www.pbs.org/newshour/nat...
