With 4-0 fiasco at Miami, D.C. United inches closer to missing MLS playoffs for 7th straight year. DCU rank in … East: 12th of 15 Supporters’ Shield: 26th of 30 Goals: 29th Goal diff: 24th But at least owners are seeking public $ for stadium roof to host more non-⚽️ events.

INBOX: The Teamsters are claiming a big victory in Virginia with 400+ workers at Molson Coors' big honkin' Shenandoah plant voting to join Local 29.

The Library of Virginia has come out with guidance on AI and the Public Records Act. The gist of it is that if the AI is used to conduct government business, then the chat/prompt/AI-generated record is a public record and must adhere to a records retention schedule #ai #recordsmanagement

When creating law about license plate readers last year, the Virginia General Assembly specifically made all system and audit data exempt from FOIA, meaning the public can't check to see if the searches their police are running are legitimate or not.

The bill was patroned by Majority Leader Charniele Herring and L. Louise Lucas, Senate President Pro-Tem, and passed both chambers by a wide margin. Virginia is famous for its exemptions from FOIA, and this is another in a long line. Maybe we can fix this exemption next session.

How does Disney Plus still not have the ability to block specific shows per profile? All they have are MPAA style ratings controls, but I want my kid to be able to watch Frozen and Turning Red, but not the youtube slop they've brought over.

Every single article about solar power and battery tech is like "We put solar panels on the Hellmouth and the Hellmouth is now reciting poetry and smells like peppermint and teaching young orphaned birds how to fly. Also we can power a small city block."

Just have fingerprinting left and then I will be ready to be a volunteer officer of election for my county! my mom was an officer of election in ohio, so I'm continuing in her footsteps

The one thing it doesn't look like it has, and therefore might still need zoning approval, is the local power transformer (lines are already there though). I have a FOIA request in with the authority for agendas and minutes, so I'll continue to let folks know what I find

The site already has water supply on site and is already contracted for 1M gallons a day of water and wastewater. That was a big concern in Hanover, but they don't have to get a zoning change for that in Pulaski.

It also has fiber and natural gas already available onsite, which would be very attractive to a data center, given how often they need to run on backup generators.

The land the Authority owns is around the Pulaski County Airport, in between the runway and the Town of Dublin. The Authority owns the land, and my father-in-law says there are rumors of a September handover date.

In my Hanover County, data centers have so far been defeated by denied zoning changes, but the situation in Pulaski County is different: They already have a lot of the infrastructure onsite, but seem to be missing at least one thing that would require Supervisors approval

SCOOP: He was one of a handful of Democrats who joined Republicans in May to pass an anti-trans bill through the House. Last night, instead of listening to trans constituents at a meeting that I attended, Eugene Vindman got angry. It went downhill from there. www.advocate.com/politics/nat...

I'm sick of psychologist and therapist websites telling me that them not taking insurance is actually a benefit to me. I get why many places don't, but lets all be honest with each other: a lot of us don't have an extra $600 a month, so those "benefits" only go to the already financially secure.

Statement by the FIFA President. The proposal to sell the World Cup is dead. This sounds like a last straw to keep hanging on to his presidency. Despite this, it’s pretty clear to say that Infantino needs to be removed now. Hopefully all stake holders keep up the pressure.

I actively disrespect anyone who platforms Matt Yglesias. He's a vapid, self-searching hack and he and Chris Cilizza should make like a coronal mass ejection and hurtle away from all of known humanity at millions of miles an hour

Before sports betting was legalized everywhere, I was neutral about it, thinking that it was a personal choice. Now that it exists everywhere I have been radicalized against it like a 19th century suffragette
