I just got a really nice piece of feedback and it really brought home to me just how rare it is to just see someone saying nice about your work. Come join the Washerwoman's Potlatch and say something nice about someone! itch.io/jam/the-wash...

itch.ioThe Washerwoman PotlatchA game jam from 2026-11-12 to 2026-11-19 hosted by whynotgames. Two washerwoman, stuck on a desert island, made a living by taking in each other's washing. I often hear that we indie devs cannot make ...

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

Something that really stuck with me from The Kingdom of God is Within You is that when you do something wrong, that's one wrong thing. When you create justifications for why it wasn't so wrong, that's two wrong things.

At a private panel discussion with AI enthusiasts who are bs about “craft” and “feelings” and all things “human”. Eye rolling hard. Panel has a person from SpaceX AI for ffs. Next up in agenda is philosophy.

Overheard a conversation yesterday at Helsinki airport- person works for a UK AI company which is now going under and expecting to be laid off next week. She added that she wasn’t unhappy about it either given the growing hatred toward AI

And with that we have our first dead AI startup

Public transport from Amsterdam airport to the city centre feels overtly complicated, train and metro tickets are different - why? Signing up for Ovpay isn’t simple either. Just give me one ticket or let me buy it online without Ovpay.

I am always happy to use a good public transport app. Finland’s train app is so just convenient to use- easy payment options,, real time tracking, coaches info and accessible restaurant car menu.

Portuguese’s comboios app is just bad e-commerce site - buy and show tickets. That’s it- forget updates or tracking.

Budapest’s transport app was a delight to use, each ticket had a fun animation- felt like a collectors item. It easily replaced Google maps. Accurate stop location, real time tracking, and you see all other public vehicles in motion! Design felt very public transport first.

The only annoying bit is that I need to wait till 2027 to watch the new season and play the game. Apothecary diaries fan fic is banned at home.

Make your favorite film sound as boring as possible without giving away the title: A chief technology officer is worried about keeping his spreadsheets private.

Announcing the Washerwoman Potlatch. This is a jam in which you put up something, an essay, some art, a fangame, anything, about an indie game that you did no work on. It runs the week before GTA6 launches. itch.io/jam/the-wash...

Ramayana movie is straight up propaganda by BJP govt. You simply can’t miss its obvious link to hindutva ideology. someone I know worked on VFX + art team they said that the director rejected color green in set pieces as green is too Islamic.

Oh my gosh

It's possible to scan books without "cutting" them, which literally means ripping off the spine. But why are AI companies doing this? For one, it's cheaper and faster. Also, in a case against Anthropic, a judge ruled it was NOT a copyright violation because the original had been destroyed.

I witnessed the solar eclipse in its totality by an abandoned train station in Spain. I noticed a bright red spot on left side of the sun. The coolest thing ever. The pic is a few mins before totality

When the story of why humanity didn't stop climate change is written, it will feature front pages like this. Even as the skies blacken with climate change-induced wildfires, right wing media continue their relentless crusade against measures to tackle it.

Stranger than fiction. And then you shake hands and resist the temptation of a front kick

Remarkable camera angle of President Trump as he listens to Wall Street Journal reporters receiving an award for their investigation into Trump’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein — which they pursued despite Trump’s threats and lawsuit.

it would be so cool if google spent some of that $100bn capex on making it so that when I hit "copy link" on Google Docs it actually copied the link

What a crossover. Can’t wait to hear it!

Roller derby game this Saturday at 5pm. Watch us play. #lisbon #rollerderby I play as a blocker and sometimes as a jammer. If there was an award for worst falls, I would win it.

Devil wears Prada 2 was disappointing to watch. Very rarely do movies have good sequels and this wasn’t one. The writing was so lazy, and with little character development. The most frustrating bit of the story was expecting a billionaire to swoop in and save us all. #filmsky

Kohei Saito’s Slow Down is a great read on how there is no good capitalism and offers cooperative as an alternate to sustainable development. We have to stop romanticising wealth hoarders

Farha is a moving story of a young girl who is stuck/hidden in her house during the ‘48 Nakba. I went in prepared that I would be bawling at some point during the movie. I got to watch it at Casa Palestina - a beautiful new cultural centre in #Lisbon #filmsky

The trailer is very hard to watch, given you know that such atrocities have been ongoing for over 80 years. The opening scene is of a village with houses lined in a terrace farming layout. Each house mainly made out of stone and surrounded by dense trees. The architecture looked so cool.

I learnt that Zionists tried canceling the movie…? Zionists and Brits are literally featured for 15 mins at most. Such big time loser behavior as well.

I finished the first draft of the first section of my book, where I break down how to come up with a feature. Does anyone want to check out a chapter or the full section and send me some feedback? I'll put the table of contents below.
