Older people have been saying this for months. Labor's automation of aged care assessments has been a disaster, under-assessing need and priority, denying care and driving up waitlists. It's past time to bin the whole thing and put humans back in charge of decision-making.

The Brethren should have lost their tax-free status back in 2007. The evidence it was a political operation was overwhelming. Is it going to be let off the hook again? Or are we finally going to put a stop to this political interference? #auspol

I can’t express just how absolutely grotesque it is to take a very recent and horrific crime which, if anything, can be tied to our culture’s ongoing indifference to male violence against women, and try through anguished mental gymnastics to blame it instead on people who want to stop a genocide

Why? Just the angry stuff on social media? How convenient. This country no longer has social housing, a welfare system, or a functioning mental health system. We pretend we do, but we don't. Those have been degraded and now destroyed, by successive governments since Howard's.
