Gonna start a thread keeping track of the games I beat this year. #1: Midtown Madness 3 (Xbox) Fun racing game with personality, but once you've gone through all the single-player stuff, there's not much to stick around for if you're not into multiplayer.

It's very difficult to square "the games industry is raking in billions of dollars!" with all the people getting laid off and all the companies being gutted. Although it makes more sense when I realize where all that money's really going, and it's not to the people doing the real work.

The Pokemon TCG situation is a legit disgrace at this point. I know they're selling inventory fast, but there's damage being done here? I have a kid at 'gateway' age for Pokemon, desperate for cards; we can't get any. But her interest is waning, the window to 'make' her a Pokemanic closing.
