Now 26% more political! I support: Trans folks, BLM, CRT, DEI, woke, antifa, LGBTQIA+, immigrants, people with autism, Somali, abolishing ICE, abolishing billionaires, abolishing the for-profit carceral system, Epstein survivors.

I'd really love to see some accountability and consequences, but I fear establishment Dems will get wishy washy when it's time for retribution. It's a rough year (decade) to deal with SA trauma, and all I my furious heart wants is many slicings and beheadings.

This is how agenda setting and narrative work. Notice how the frame, in graf 4, shifts to "just eight days before Election Day". So instead a focus on the 50-page report, we get 6 grafs w/most of them tying report to Dems trying to win an election. Fascinating stuff! www.nytimes.com/2026/10/26/u...

These are beautiful and a delightful way to view this history. I love this page.

Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh I laugh at the absurdity and cry at the reality. "If we don't test and don't report it won't be happening" is a hell of a protocol.

Here’s something you should know about minks: They have lungs and airways remarkably similar on a cellular level to those of people. They’ve spread flus and infected humans before with COVID-19. Right now, bird flu is spreading on a Utah farm filled with thousands of them… 🧵

Think of all the time people like Schumer and Jeffries wasted insisting the real problem was the “super MAGA extra MAGA deluxe MAGA Republicans” because they were fucking so afraid of offending their Republican buddies on the Hill

I just want dems to stop messing around and finally call republicans evil and disgusting. Not trump. Not "maga." republicans and republican voters. By name.

IMO Dems who do this are as bad as MAGA.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

In a major escalation in Dems embracing anti-trans positions, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the official campaign arm of House Democrats, released its first anti-trans ad supporting Nancy Lacore in SC-01. Transphobia is spreading among dems. Subscribe to support our journalism.

By "learned about BoyThrob" I mean learned that they exist and they seem to be earnest *and* parody and up to good/no good? I haven't gone much further. It's weird to be an elder, ever, but I think in this particular world it's especially weird.

I’m tired of us pretending it’s “moderates” vs progressives on Portland City Council when one side’s politics are attracting Republican donors.

Excellent!

I was in an elevator with a person having a conversation with someone on speakerphone. I repeated everything the other person said. Finally, the person on the phone said, "I need to get off this call." Victory.

When the moderates voted against an amendment to do an investigation on Urban Alchemy because houseless ppl filed over 100 reports saying they were being abused in the shelters, only 2? News outlets covered it. We failed to investigate rape and this org just unquestioningly gets city dollars.

Listen to Dr. R, this is OUR money. If you still have any halfway reasonable Republican friends, send this their way.

7 years ago SNL fired Shane Gillis before he actually started based on his offensive posts on social media so I guess my question is why would you bring that person back to host your show? He’s just gonna continue to be rude hurtful and also… not funny?

This would be very bad. I had a dream that wikipedia printed out their entire trove of knowledge and hid it in trees.

"This would be an effective tax of 15.6%. If you assume $100 million in revenue. You could reduce it by paying workers enough to afford a two-bedroom apartment. That would reduce your liability by $435,000. You're saving $435 by raising your workers' salaries."
