I've been saying it about movies for years but it's true of games too, there's such a huge opening for a new publisher that focuses on untested artists and big swings. Someone to zag when everyone else is zigging, give mid-budget money to groups publishers used to fund but don't anymore.
Why isn’t anyone funding video games anymore? aftermath.site/you-are-error-...
I'd think about what I've kinda wanted to do but never did because it's out of character or it never seemed like the right time and I'd do that. Not necessarily as a bucket list thing, but because when I'm going through a rough patch it's nice to have a recent adventure, even if it was a disaster.
If you knew you were going to be going through a physically and mentally difficult stretch in your life but at this point you feel fine, what would you do with your time?

Here's the Halloween Song of the Day, and also a reminder that you can combine any two words to make a new word and nobody can stop you.

Have you heard the news? Deathsport is on RiffTrax, today! www.rifftrax.com/mst3k-the-ri...
Somehow, about six years after @edsource.org introduced news briefs, I wrote my first one. Sorry to my coworkers who have to do several per week!

I’m going to need a proxy in Chicago to place bids for me. Please note I don’t have any money so you’ll also have to pay whatever you bid, but still send me the Servo/Crow/both that you bought.
The Halloween Song of the Day is more Halloween in vibe than lyrics but it counts. Also, if you don't like punk, metal, or hip hop (you monster) you can still enjoy holiday music!
Wait, what? Really? Isn’t it usually around Thanksgiving? Not that I’m arguing.
HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!! Desert Bus for Hope 2026, the 20th year of Desert Bus! I hope y'all are ready for what promises to be the greatest show on Earth featuring a bus. What mischief, excitement, wonder and hilarity have we cooked up for this most auspicious year? Head to desertbus.org right now!

It’s enraging that Ilhan Omar is being put through this, but she deserves so much credit for punching back. She’s doing her best to make it COST Trump and co for their persecution and lies. “Pedophile protection party,” hell yes. Calling out DOJ corruption, same. If they want a fight, hit ‘em hard.
The pedophile protection party’s president is laundering right-wing conspiracy theories through the most corrupt DOJ in American history. Whenever the news turns bad, this creep reaches for one name: mine. So let’s make it crystal clear. My name has always been Ilhan Omar.
What if—hear me out here—they elect a Speaker who’s been tough from the minority rather than banking on a pushover suddenly turning over a new leaf?
ICYMI: I profiled Hakeem Jeffries, the man poised to be the next House Speaker if Dems win the House. Who he is & the test he faces. “As he moves into this job, he’s going to have to be tougher — and he will be," Rep. Debbie Dingell told me.
Yeah but nothing is perfect.
Just to be clear... Prop 40 is a ONE-TIME retroactive tax. It applies ONLY to billionaires and would tax just 5% of their wealth — which grew 30% in 2025. California's billionaires would still be worth $2T+ AFTER the tax. The revenue will fund healthcare for millions of Californians. Vote YES.
