This week's challenge is #delayed! Create something with a delay as a prominent feature, and find at least one new setting or use you haven't before. Tell us what you did when you post your piece. And do listen to others, too. Maybe we can all learn something new about delays! Pic by Anne Nygård.

I forgot the actual title of the challenge when writing the commentary but hey, it’s close. Despite a non-spoopy theme I leaned into October Vibes: youtu.be/7dHfrZFsXaw

I am open for hire! If your game needs music, I am your guy! While I might only have one complete game soundtrack under my belt, my music has been repeatedly praised for being catchy and memorable! My rates are variable, depending on the size and budget of your project. Short 🧵

sometimes I make games that are angry political art, earnest evocations of trauma, and experiments that question what games are and can be and sometimes it's a silly game about hats

✨I’m back on the market as a game designer/developer!✨ After a year of collaborating with TeeTurtle/Unstable Games on three games for the Ordinary Magic line, we decided to part ways as friends due to differences in long-term goals. 🧵(1/5)

It's never not fun to talk arcade games, especially with Wayne of Coin-Op Conversations! ❤️

I’ve made a start on this and it’s shaping up to be a fun one. I’m keen to know if the nod I’ve put in there gets picked by anyone 😃

You thought the battle was over. The final blow has landed, the dust settles, and victory seems certain. Suddenly, the enemy rises once more. The music shifts, the arena transforms, and Phase Two beings. This weeks theme, #PhaseTwo!

Dozens of games are released every day, but I want to focus on one that hits this week. Penguin Colony It has a very clever pitch: what if you witnessed a Lovecraftian story in Antarctica through the eyes of the local penguins? But there's a LOT more happening here about indigenous art and artists

store.steampowered.comPenguin Colony on SteamCosmic horror, through the eyes of a penguin. Rival human factions have come to your home in the Antarctic, seeking an ancient and inconceivable being. Observe their descent into insanity in this fait...

Here’s a creepy li’l waltz I made for this prompt. It’s good to be back: youtu.be/-Es6yppA8vM

Hi! I’m Scott and I run Minerva Tabletop Games. I’m a board game designer, publisher and organiser for Playfest and Playtest UK. I design and publish small-box/microgames, especially those with solo play. My background is art and design and I enjoy integrating highly stylised artwork into my games.

It’s been a little while since my last #muwee composition (though I have been making stuff). Here’s one from the archives that I have fond memories of making (though unfortunately predates my discovery that I was recording stereo tracks in mono 😩) youtu.be/It8-hLQVGsA

It’s difficult to say much without straying into spoiler territory, so I’ll just say that despite playing it once, most of a decade ago, it’s never been far from my thoughts. The narrative, themes, setting - everything is so well considered and executed

Even if you figure out where the narrative is headed early, and the plot beats well in advance, the seam of existential dread and tragedy running through everything lands *hard* and unsettling concepts will probably set up camp in your head.

If you want to be reductive it’s a first person narrative game in the ‘walking sim’ mould, with several stealth sections. But! If you really don’t want to deal with creepy stealth gameplay you can turn that aspect off in the options; the game will still be superb
