Monday: Richard Tice. Tuesday: Nigel Farage. #R4Today doing its bit to give Reform a helping hand now it is plummeting in the polls.

The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

£100 billion a year lost to Brexit. None of Richard Tice’s cuts would come anywhere near the boost to the economy that EU membership would bring. #R4Today

Looks like the next Trump catastrophe is gearing up: The CIA has released a Spanish-language guide advising Cubans seeking "positive change" on how to contact the agency securely.

As admirable as Dame Judy is, what’s this long form interview doing on the prime time national news and current affairs programme? #R4Today

Eventually, LBC publish the story (no mention of Gove or her media links), as does the BBC (likewise). And then the LBC story ALSO vanishes!! 🤷‍♀️😱 The BBC story remains up - as a local Oxfordshire story... You have to know to look for it.

As Nigel Farage calls Andy Burnham a liar for confirming that there was Russian interference in our elections and the Brexit referendum …

The numbers on social media posts from the likes of Nigel Farage and Richard Tice aren't looking so good today in the wake of Ukrainian strikes on Russian data centres.

Justin Webb on #R4Today is actually using the words “rounding up” in his questioning. And he’s not talking about livestock. Zia Yusuf having a Trumpian rant.

Reform’s ridiculous Monday morning announces are transparent attempts to lead the week’s news narrative, no matter how skewed, and #R4Today happily allow Zia Yusuf to draw a correlation between seeking asylum and the lack of UK public services. Unchallenged.

Kemi Badenoch going for Trump tactics thinking they will cut the mustard in her Tory Party Conference speech. Tell everyone to be really scared of impending threat and doom and paint herself as the only person capable of fixing all the damage (that the Tories caused).

There are still people who think this man is not only sane, but also that he is a great president.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

Not my president. Clearly, not a president for all Americans. “Let them (Iran) take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.” Then Trump called it a “small price to pay.” Millions of us dead. And his audience laughed. Reporting from my local news…

Some stripey fat cucumbers and some glossy dark aubergines. I’m always moved by the quality of the vegetables in Italian markets. They just don’t accept poor quality food.

Rather notable that on the day that a planned violent attack on Nigel Farage is uncovered, Nigel Farage is notably absent from the airwaves and Richard Tice, sent as the Reform spokesperson, is uncharacteristically moderate in his response. #R4Today

This week we watched the remarkable Esther Rantzen celebrate the humanity of Nicholas Winton and his Kindertransport which saved the lives of 669 Jewish children. But we now live in a country where there are many who’d rather let refugee children drown than allow them to survive in safety.

Did you know that a Farage Reform govt intends to scrap the NHS? The private health care system he wants to introduce would cost you £10,000s, like the US, where getting ill can bankrupt you. #ReformUK #Labour #GreenParty #Newcastle #SAFC #NUFC

I don't think we disdain the center-right enough. First, they rode nativist populist tigers to power to get their tax cuts and deregulation; Then, they lost control of their own parties to those tigers; Now, they sit in lucrative jobs as columnists writing about how it's all the left's fault.

Billionaire, Brexit backing, tax-avoiding, Monaco resident, Jim Ratcliffe demonstrating what’s wrong with this country. Wring the shit out of your country and leave. #R4Today

It’s mind blowing that after 2.8 million years of the development of the human genus, we are consciously developing technology that makes us redundant and potentially destroys us. #R4Today

Reform UK and Christopher Harborne say the mega-donor crypto billionaire is living in the UK (so the overseas donor cap supposedly won't affect him). Since when? A claim form filed by Harborne in the High Court only this June lists his address as (still) in Bangkok...

The government should be running daily TV and social media adds on the decline in numbers and the real conditions refugees face in the UK. At the moment they have completely lost the narrative.

Caller to Any Answers #BBCR4 #BBCaq says he wouldn’t care if Reform received their donations from Al Qaeda as long as he wouldn’t have to “pay for room service for immigrants.”

Farage was - once again - lying when he said counter terrorism police had delayed his speech because of threats. West Midlands police confirm they gave no such advice.

Farage is claiming “loose talk”, even though he was sitting at the same table, scoffing oysters and thanking a journalist “businessman” for spending £30,000 on Reform’s polling.

Apparently it’s because this popped up behind Tice on a timer while he was speaking. So, now they are checking for other protests.

Richard Tice introduced Nigel Farage, but Nigel Farage came not. After a few minutes David Bull came out, visibly shaken to say proceedings had been delayed because of "unforeseen circumstances". It's now more than ten minutes later and nobody knows what is going on.

Oh my oh my.

Rob Baron@rob-baron.bsky.social

It seems a very apposite time to ask Richard Tice to explain why he needs to head a company with no employees and no products, that appears to do nothing other than receive large amounts of money which it then swiftly transfers to the accounts of Reform Ltd.

The Channel 4 sting demonstrated quite clearly that Reform had angled for, and accepted secret foreign donations to pay for their polling. It was a done deal. Tice just said that no donations had been accepted. #R4Today
