Speechless. Club Kid is one of the best films of the year. I can’t believe this was Jordan Firstman’s directorial debut. Joyfully queer, so many laughs, so many tears. This is the movie. Five stars.

Had two peak Southern funeral experiences this weekend. Saturday: Kickass eulogy that prominently featured the 1986 Great American Bash w/ Steel Cage wrasslin’ & a Waylon Jennings performance. The funeral was at the megachurch where Dale Earnhardt’s service was.

Sunday: Entire Presbyterian College football team sitting in the front pews wearing their jerseys and the entire crowd doing the fight song at the end of the funeral for my shitty uncle who prioritized being the Buddy Garrity of PC over his kids, brother and family.

Most intriguing to me is that this puts the American at 15 for football. Only the ACC is doing the odd-number thing right now. Less of a big deal in a post-divisional world but still asymmetrical and can be weird for scheduling
