Getting a handful of gas stations or a handful of grocery stores to artificially lower prices for a brief period of time is not an economic win. It's a gimmick.

Listening to some of my dad's old records. Really loving the fidelity on some of the original recordings from the 1960's. Noticing some noise and skips/jumps on some. Any hope that a good cleaning would fix these? I have supplies but they seem to be for general cleaning and not aged-in grime.

An idea that I've been lamenting we don't do (much) in the US for years. We have so much wasted space atop warehouses, distribution centers, parking lots, etc. Instead we clear and form land for arrays. So wasteful.

I’ve used a ton of software in my lifetime. Bose wins for flakiest, most user-unfriendly. I recently changed internet providers and had to set my SoundTouch 30 speaker up on the new router. That… was an experience that reinforced my decision to never again buy another Bose product.

Anyone else having a ton of issues with the new @duolingoverde.bsky.social flash card feature? Nothing like being told your pronunciation is wrong only to have it parrot the exact same pronunciation back at you as a correct example. If these are their AI improvements, no thank you.

Caught a “Stuff The Bus” promo on TV this morning. You know, collect donated school supplies. Wouldn’t it be great if the taxes we already pay go to things like this? To teacher salaries? To healthcare? To things that make meaningful impact for everyone?

I need to stop waking up every morning thinking it will be a normal day. Or maybe this is now normal? Scary thought.

I think all they’ve really managed to do this week is encourage more people to turn out for the No Kings protests. Being underwater on every issue before July is pretty impressive.

Today they have crossed a deep red line. We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.
