I oppose the ongoing genocide in Palestine. But huge swathes of the US do not. Let’s not pretend that opposing Israel wouldn’t have lost her as many votes as it could have won. This election needed to not be a one-issue election, the stakes were too high. Sadly Gaza will be worse off under Trump

It is true that the people who openly refused to vote BECAUSE of the US's support for Israel wouldn't have swayed the election. There just wasn't enough of them. Then again, maybe actually showing a spine on more than one single issue might have convinced a lot of the other 90m apathetic voters.

Let me be clear. I voted for Kamala Harris. During her bid for president, I would consistently voice my concern that she was not differentiating herself enough from Biden. That her policies and promises failed to offer people real change and instead maintained the status quo. I was told to shut up.
