listening to this song could not possibly prepare you for what's going on in the game when it plays, and the thing I like most about nier is that the entire game is like that

I've just found the first of what I assume to be a large number of CSS-related corners into which I have painted myself skill issue for sure but I think I have to burn this page down and start over if I want to change this square to a rectangle software! *jazz hands, aristocrats style*

today I realized that I finally had the infrastructure in place to be able to start writing a page I've been thinking about for two years sorry to keep websiteposting but it feels really good to be sharing stuff again. it's been so, so long

okay time to see if all the work on my website has paid off. gonna see how much of a pain in the ass it is to develop a brand new p5js sketch

I simply do not think it's reasonable to expect people on this website to mute common names like "matt" to avoid seeing the shit that slips out of that guy's maw

I think I'm just going to start unfollowing people. it's late 2026, if you're a big account on this site then you definitely know better and are choosing the old ways because it suits you

okay it's not tooo bad, right now I have to write an mdx file with a decent amount of critical frontmatter but a template will make that easy to replicate. the sketches are just normal global mode sketches with a specific createCanvas() setup I'll blog about it soon if you want details

post-breakfast nap with the kittens and the window cracked to let in the sounds of the absolutely shitty rain going on outside. pnw fall 😍

if you ever happen to see someone post a joke you don't understand or discuss a subject you aren't familiar with, you are well within your right to complain, and perhaps even scold them if necessary. you are their customer and you have rights

my kingdom for a social media website where people are willing to put in the tiniest amount of effort instead of vomiting “context plz” in the replies of every post that crosses their path

I saw a post I was interested in but didn’t understand so I spent 2 minutes looking it up. In that time five people had replied asking for context don’t make me get the spray bottle

Okay… I believe my PHP hardening is done and have re-enabled my websites. If there is a vulnerability I missed, please leave a note in /home/Andi/www explaining what it was.

"who's got two thumbs and one set of digital calipers per each thumb? that's right, it's this guyyyyyyyy" he says, pointing his thumbs at himself like the kind of cool dude who would be holding several digital calipers, as the hardened steel points sink into his shoulders

once into the actual game I can only move to the right. I’m not sure if it’s the game or the fact that I’m running it on ewaste so I might wait for a few days and check back in

even had time for a quick round of vulkan shaders unfortunately I can’t seem to get past the launcher with my controller and the fake steam machine does not have a mouse

okay, Torchlight II got a major update (in beta) with controller support? lmao wow

my current experiment with the robot is treating it like the kind of coworker you dm when you're stuck on a problem. it has no access to the code unless I paste it in, it's just there to answer questions

I think that, for me and my projects and my personal tolerances, this is the best risk:performance ratio I've found for using the robot to write software. I still get to do all the fun parts but it is incredibly efficient at getting me unstuck

firefox has just offered to back up my history. it is interesting to contemplate the use cases for backing up one's browser history

also, my complicated love affair with javascript continues apace. as a language it's fine I guess but the ecosystem is unlike any technology I've used before. you can do anything in javascript and there are probably at least two people that beat you to the idea cool time to be building for the web

it feels pretty bad to be on the internet these days but working on my website has been reminding me what I love about this stupid thing in the first place. you can do anything you want and just put it out there for anyone for free. or for money if that's your thing, it's easy to do that too

in conclusion, the web is a land of contrasts. help make it better by building a website. make it weird if you want to, nobody can stop you
