FYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

A very good read on #SCOTUS

Me this morning on the biggest news out of #SCOTUS yesterday (Slaughter); how to think about the news we expect out of the Court today (including, but not limited to, birthright citizenship); and why it matters that the term doesn't actually end when the justices step of the bench later this a.m.:

The head of the Director of National Intelligence “shall have extensive national security expertise.” 50 USC § 3023. Hasn't Trump then just nominated someone who cannot hold the position legally. Of course, anyone who cares about American security would appoint someone with the required experience.

Could someone please annotate this press release with all the “pro fraud”things this administration has done; such as pardons, insider trading, playoffs and no bid contracts?

Rubio: "You've got friends who have been shot in the head because they're out protesting, and it's heartbreaking to him to see these people are abused in this way and have no measures to take against their own government as a result of it. This is a vicious regime."

Remember, back in December this same SCOTUS said it was too late to change Texas' maps (that had just been changed in August) after they were deemed (by a Trump-appointed judge) to be unconstitutional. So Dec. was too late, but May (after ballots have been sent) is fine? WTF?

BREAKING: SCOTUS grants the Callais plaintiffs' request to issue the judgment now, meaning the ruling goes into effect and back to the district court immediately. This was done over a strong dissent from Jackson — prompting Alito (w Thomas & Gorsuch) to author an opinion concurring with the grant.

In this clip, Kash Patel says the grand jury heard evidence that Comey deleted the '8647' post and apologized. Neither fact appears in the indictment. Hmm. Did the FBI director just disclose evidence presented before a grand jury?

Thanks to a FOIA lawsuit from @deportationdata.org, Minnesota is getting its first credible numbers on arrests during the federal government's surge here this winter. About 3,800 Minnesota residents were arrested. Most from Latin America (only 106 from Somalia). (1)

What is outrageous about this, among many other things, is that makes relief turn on whose loved ones have the resources to hire or luck or network to get a lawyer to file for habeas. If you don't know to file or can't, even "we have no opposition" cases lead to continued detention.

NEW: The Trump administraiton has lost more than 7,000 immigration detention cases in recent months. Increasingly, DOJ is telling judges they have no argument to present or couldn't get facts from ICE to present in court. A look at this emerging trend. www.politico.com/news/2026/03...

If you do, please submit a comment opposing this. DOJ attorneys should be held to same, if not higher, standards than every other attorney.

Update: as of last night, 29,182 comments had been made on Pam Bondi's proposed rule to end ethics oversight for DOJ attorneys. This is an incredible response within just one week of publication. Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones. Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember: - Organized a city wide general strike - Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence - Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE - Flipped public opinion against ICE

Operation PARRIS is one of the most heinous things this administration has done yet. Trump’s people ordered ICE to round up 5,600 legally present refugees, people who have done NOTHING wrong, with no warning, and jailed them in Texas to be interrogated about their status.

Another ruling just yesterday in Minnesota: A federal judge calls it "particularly craven" that ICE transfered "a nursing refugee mother" out of state. Ta Eh Doh Lah was admitted as a refugee from Myanmar in 2024, has no criminal history and a 5-month-old. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
