The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy At All volume 4 is out! Here's some fun bits of lettering I did for the English version. *the difference in green in these screenshots between the JP/EN versions is down to I assume export settings for different platforms

Re: Cheesecake Factory I grew up (& still live) in the Midwest. I have gone to Olive Garden as a “nice” restaurant so I get it We’re not the rubes you think we are. We know these places aren’t *actually* fancy. But they have cloth napkins and are a step up from the everyday. Affordable indulgence.

I mean, there are so many different nondairy milks at my local grocery store these days. (Most of which I haven’t tried, actually. All I usually want is a good unflavored, unsweetened soy milk. Which, if you think that sounds like a metaphor for me, you may be right.)

We are sad to learn that Japanese writer Ryū Murakami has passed away at 74 years old. Murakami wrote the 1997 novel AUDITION which was adapted into Takashi Miike's horror masterpiece. He also wrote the novels Almost Transparent Blue and Coin Locker Babies. Rest in Peace.

If you use AI-produced writing in humanities scholarship you are dead to me. How I evaluate that kind of writing is by crossing you off my list,

Opinion: If AI is now part of academic writing, what should institutions actually evaluate? This essay argues that analytical writing should be judged by evidence, structure, argument, and accountability not by guesses about how each sentence was produced. https://chroni.cl/4eDRdjg

Not to be contrarian, but Spirited Away. Okay, maybe to be a little bit contrarian.

"What is your favorite Studio Ghibli Film?" Stop being boring! What is your LEAST favorite Studio Ghibli film? Not just to be a hater, I'm curious to know which movies just didn't vibe with people.

‘Police confirmed they had responded to a report of "criminal mischief involving a robot"’ Back in high school, I thought a future where we said things like this would somehow be cooler.

Dear authors - if your book is only an ebook, *please* don't use images that look like physical books on your website and socials. I don't know about others, but I feel like you're trying to trick me, so I won't listen to anything else you have to say Also, I just saw "ebook box set" - not a thing

I would take more seriously the people promoting the idea of AI consciousness if they first materially grappled with the (much more obvious) consciousness of animals and how that affects our moral obligations to them.

AI is arguably the most powerful wage suppression machine of my lifetime. You just hang it over every employee’s head.
