Hello everyone, since I'm new here, I work as an engineer at RevenueHero, a startup from india which operates on the RevOps space. Outside work I'm interested in building consumer apps or mostly apps to solve my day to day problems.

1/2 Recently I'm doing a lot of random streams instead of sticking to one project. This is necessary as it keeps me focused on building and also my boredom in check. Working on one thing becomes monotonous too fast.

2/2 While I should be focusing on one thing and then going to next one after completion, i want my streams to be a break from my day to day cycle, which is working on one thing at work. So I've decided i'll stream what I like to work at that point of time.

There's literally no tech I'm more bullish on than Vitest. Even TypeScript. If you're using some other test runner, you're making your job harder for no reason.

State of JS 2024 is out and... what a year for the projects I work on! - @vite.dev and VoidZero ecosystem projects sweep almost all the awards (again) - @vuejs.org had a strong comeback year! More details in thead👇

Big news! 🎉 vite-plugin-simple-html, my @vite.dev plugin for HTML processing and minification, just got a MAJOR upgrade! 🚀 It now offers better minification and slashes dependencies down to just two. That's… *checks notes* 78 fewer than the alternative. Check it out! github.com/wojtekmaj/vi...

one of the best debugging techniques of all time is to log everything relevant and deterministic, and diff the two logs

How to be a Programmer. 1. Do programming and talk about programming on twitter. 2. Don't do programming and only talk about programming on twitter. 3. Don't know about programming and only rt stuff about programming. 4. I want to be a programmer but can only yap on twitter.

Someone should really make that

Sarah Drasner@sarahedo.bsky.social

Unpopular opinion: If someone made a competitor to TypeScript with the simplicity of Swift’s type system and Go’s assignments, they’d be rich* *rich in this case, meaning lots of OSS burden

`grep` and `find` are insanely powerful yet so simple they can navigate codebases so huge the majority of IDEs simply melt down. And since they've been around for over half of a century they're unlikely to go anywhere. They are the skill that will literally serve you until the end of your career.

🚀 Introducing Zed v0.162! The project panel can now show which files have warnings and errors.

Does anyone know the source of that nonsense about how the framework doesn't matter because most code is user code? I don't see how one negates the other. Frameworks can optimize the running of your user code. This is why Signals are great. Would React have bothered with a compiler otherwise?
