Das Europäische Parlament hat für den Digitalen Euro votiert. Im weiteren Aushandlungsverfahren zwischen Parlament, Rat und Kommission stehen dann Haltelimits, Gebühren und Offline-Zahlungen im Fokus. Eine Einführung des digitalen Zentralbankgeldes ist frühestens ab 2029 möglich.
