Got my new PC running & god it's just so much faster. I used to delay saving my files cause it would take like ... idk, 1, 2 maybe 3 seconds. But now it is just instant, no delay. I can just spam ctrl+s and it's done in a blink of an eye. I can't tell you how much smoother it feels to work like this

Just a reminder to temper those feelings of instant judgement and negativity that the internet is SO good at breeding inside of us all. Not even just for the feelings of a random stranger you'll never meet, but for your own mental health and the effect of such negativity can have on ourselves.
What a sweet portrait of a loving family.

Real talk, why half of the remaining games media is in Japan this week but no one can ever find a Japanese dev, consultant, journo or researcher to talk about Japan? Especially when we then get these experts who ignore the well-know fact that Japan has laws which make firing people extremely hard.
Why do Japanese studios suffer fewer layoffs? Because they have smaller teams and don't pay their execs $30m, says one expert. https://bit.ly/4rfqTRG

This is why I hate "just a tool" so so so much. You can make a calculator without access to every calculation. You can make photoshop without access to all photos. Someone show me a genai tool that didn't require all of our labour in its production. It's plagiarism software.
Eye popping. Court just unsealed Summary Judgment motions in New York Times v OpenAI / Microsoft. Easy to see why the AI companies had so many redactions (pink). Their own people wrote the lede for NYT, the "largest theft of labor in human history"... "more and more substitutive..." /1

I really dont care tbh. My state has so much cool shit to see and a ton of local shops and places to eat. Buc-ees just seems like a visit once for the novelty and never go again kinda place. If anything I feel bad for the folks that live in such boring place that something like this is exciting.
This is interesting. A brand openly announcing it will only be available in Republican-led states.
