The lessons from Brazil and Serbia? Don't concede one inch of ground to the far right. Don't appease. Don't triangulate. Don't grovel. Don't say they have "legitimate concerns". Mobilise your base, and fight them with all the democratic means at your disposal.

I wonder if childhood trauma correlates with where these men stand on the issue. 🤔🤔🤔https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/09/15/technology/ai-regulation-risks-politicians-executives.html?unlocked_article_code=1.BVE.FD9H.Ya0nu1UMUWlt&smid=nytcore-ios-share

Beautiful excerpt from Klein & Taylor's new book. Reading this along with Wendell Berry & Kingsolver's essay. Heartening & smart.

Musk is worth more than South Africa’s GDP. Bernie Sanders and I proposed a 5% tax on people like him. In one year, it could fund: - free public college & trade school -$10/day childcare - Special-needs education nationwide Wealth inequality is the moral failure of our time.

How the fuck do we have $300 billion to rebuild Iran after we spent $80 billion bombing it, when we don’t “have the money” for pediatric cancer research?

Wall street folks are celebrating Elon Musk for creating 4,400 millionaires. Fine. Did any of them celebrate Joe Biden's IRA, ARP, CHIPS for creating millions of good paying jobs? Our barometer should be opportunity & stability for the majority, not simply wealth for the few.

There’s been a lot of talk in this race about what makes a "real man." A man does what’s right when no one is watching. He upholds his commitments to his family and neighbors. He doesn’t lie, cheat, & steal his way through life. Real men serve others. Weak men serve themselves.
