I've got another monthly update. Life has been bad for me personally and I'm not sure how things'll get better, but I'm keeping myself busy with the same sorts of media, for whatever that's worth. I wrote a tiny bit more here if you're interested: www.capswords.com/2026/09/what...

capswords.comWhat I Got Up To This Month (September '26)I'll be honest, this has been a rough month for me. I'm not  entirely  sure why, but I've been doing really badly lately. To be blunt, I hav...

It’s wild that we have a society like this. Like we’re just not doing anything about it. We’re just kind of watching it collapse.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Been ruminating a lot on how I present myself and it's led to me questioning just how I want to be perceived by others. I'm feeling more self-confident than I was a year ago but, you know, external validation is still important to me.

On that note, I should probably voice train because my current attempt, uh, doesn't sound good, though I've always hated the sound of my voice and I'm not sure doing this'd change that.

I'm also rethinking some stuff that I thought was pretty set-in-stone, which is... complicating things. Hmm. A lot on my mind. Not necessarily bad, just... much to think about.

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

Reading this Famitsu interview Uchikoshi did and it seems that the reason the Crash Keys game was canceled was because *Uchikoshi* wanted to use AI, not the publisher. This snippet is driving me nuts. Makes all the posturing with Hundred Line read extremely shallow.

Most folks won't know how fun Koenig was in Babylon 5. It's hard to recommend given the visuals, but it was an important Sci-Fi show and he played a great asshole on it. RIP.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

this image was clearly made with such burning hate and yet over the years these two have become warm friends. they tapped into something real and true. me when i find a cool stick

I just remembered Cairn is getting free DLC later this week. Heck yeah! I love love love that game. It's been long enough since I finished it that I'm wondering whether I should see the other ending. Part of me wants to for completion's sake but... I also feel like that'd be missing the point.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that if Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are speaker and majority leader, no matter how large their majorities are, no progress will be made. They will do nothing.

I think I've mentioned this before but I feel like I swing wildly between thinking I look OK and just absolutely hating my appearance. One of these days I'll post a picture and you'll all be stunned by my mediocrity.

I don't know why I feel such reluctance when it comes to showing my face on here. Most of you reading this will have already seen me so I've kind of already "broken the seal" and, truly, I'm pretty sure I just look like A Person.

what does it say about the national party that there are candidates running on the dem ticket buying ads saying that some people are technically subhuman without reprimand or even comment. would you abide that for any other group or is this one special

On this day in 1999, Cartoon Network aired a 24-hour Scooby-Doo marathon for Halloween. The marathon was filled with little clips between episodes parodying THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT which had been released in theaters just a few a few months earlier. Link below for the first 12hs of the marathon.

Yeah, I'm thinking the thing I bought on eBay almost two weeks ago (that still hasn't shipped) isn't coming.

This Bioware news reminds me that I spent the year before The Veilguard came out going through all of the Dragon Age stuff I could get my hands on. This was back when I was using The Other Site; I don't think I ever highlighted it on Bluesky. www.capswords.com/2024/10/a-lo...

When the person in charge of making sure your company is functional, a role that mind bogglingly didn’t exist three months ago, bails after three months… …is that good? In the year where you decided to cull a dizzying number of staff, is it good the maintainer of workflow hits the bricks?

Helen Chiang, Xbox’s first-ever chief operating officer, has abdicated the role just three months after it was created, as told by CEO Asha Sharma in an internal memo today. https://bit.ly/4i4jrGd
