And what a convenient coincidence that their de-grifter of choice is also an advocate of the wildly abusive Troubled Teen industry that preys on autistic kids

Honestly on us for not seeing it coming it enjoyed success barring people from trans medical care why wouldn’t they just copy paste to deny autistic people the same

literal carbon copy right down to their selected de-grifter being diagnosed for all of 5 minutes in her *thirties* and making it everyone else’s problem

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

It's been clear for a hot minute an anti-autism diagnosis campaign is in the works but I am truly stunned they are literally just going for the Detransitioner playbook

the media is now telling people to work from home to save on gasoline, immediately after their years-long crusade to tell us why returning to office is best for everyone. this isn't a gotcha, it's an example of how contradicting demands allow the ruling class to blame us no matter what we do

We’re told there’s no money for universal healthcare or to end hunger in this country. But somehow $200 billion more for war will likely move through Congress without question.  Not another penny for another endless war.

If you campaigned for the presidency on a promise to destroy these assholes, you would win a landslide the size of FDR in 1936, when he campaigned on a promise to destroy these assholes.

Yes, Peter decided that the continued existence of our democracies isn't compatible with his desired level of personal freedom. An absolute enemy of humanity.

Forgive me, Jesus, because I genuinely deeply enjoy how perpetually unhappy and desolate these losers are.

Abolish ICE. There’s no reforming it. There’s no compromise. There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

Utterly shocking that the country that invaded Iraq for oil and suffered zero consequences internally or externally is doing it again.

(In case anyone is thinking well this is awful but it will save hard working people money in gas)

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

It’s important to remember the oil the U.S. is stealing in Venezuela like the oil stolen from Iraq is solely for the big oil corporations NOT Americans. The U.S. has become a military nation serving the needs of transnational banks, oil, & foreign nations like UAE, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia.

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

On the "boots on the ground" question and Trump saying that it will mainly be about protecting oil operations. Given this framing, we should expect a massive payday for politically connected mercenary companies, who will use this to expand their private armies.

just found out that about a week ago, while george santos has been in solitary confinement, that he wrote that due to the inhuman conditions he is facing he is now pro prison reform. just unreal stuff honestly

See: Keira Knightley’s response to an interviewer asking about calls to boycott Harry Potter over J.K. Rowling’s attacks on trans people. Knightley is clearly annoyed (inconvenienced) and defaults back to the “we’re going to have to live together” response when Rowling makes that impossible

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

No, we can’t just agree to disagree on our opinions and live peacefully together when one person’s opinion is that the other can’t live in peace. Everyone already knows this, yet people pretend otherwise when it inconveniences them

Tens of millions of people are set to lose food stamps in weeks and conservatives are celebrating it right in the open on social media. They’re gleeful about starving children, literally saying “fuck them kids.” Yet another reason that “pro-life” is a misnomer. They’re loudly pro-death

the singular failure of the Biden era was not jailing Trump and his high-level coup plotters for that crime while Biden controlled the federal government; this failure is manifest now in Trump having blanket permission to rule as a king from SCOTUS and the default loyalty of federal police. Hell!

ironically, the whole Riyadh Comedy Festival has given me a worse opinion of every one of those comedians except Pete Davidson. there's something to be said for without shame demanding, "you guys kinda killed my dad, I'm gonna need $2 million for an hour's work."

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

The difference between Trump and Clinton being in the Epstein files is that most left-leaning people are willing (even glad) to see Clinton exposed, while the entire right wing project is dependent on Trump being seen as Jesus

Unlike too many modern comic book films, it has the courage to commit to it’s tone and to being camp rather than tediously self aware and George Clooney plays it right, letting everyone else chew scenery while he smiles at the audience to let them know that he’s very much in on the joke

I’ve been saying most people are too online for years now but people get mad at me and they’re like no YOU’RE just too online and maybe before 2020 that was true but now it’s just… reality

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

The problem with dismissing things as too online is that the vast majority of the media, tons of people in power, and a massive chunk of the population are too online

When the bad things that happened in the movie (and worse) happen to the people who decided to date the chatbot I’ll still pity and even feel sorry for them but like what else could you possibly have expected to happen

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

I’m still not over the fact that there was an extremely popular award-winning movie over a decade ago about the perils of falling in love with a chatbot and a company decided to make the chatbot in the image of the movie’s chatbot and now quite a few people have decided to date it

And to be clear, my entire life from about age 7 to 11 revolved around Harry Potter. There was a picture of me in a Hermione ballgown at the midnight release of the last book on the front page of the local newspaper. Now looking at HP stuff makes me sick. Fuck nostalgia. It’s easy to denounce hate.

The idea that Rowling just has a controversial opinion is wrong and dangerous, too. She’s one of the world’s leading transmisogynists—a bigot stoking violence—and she delights in endangering women. It should be socially unacceptable to display Harry Potter merch.

captaintrainor91.bsky.social reposted

J.K. Rowling is a menace to society whose anti-trans rhetoric is violent and encourages offline violence. Her telling people to take pictures of suspected trans women in bathrooms and disseminate them is sexual harassment. And it puts everyone in the women’s bathroom in danger.
