Also I booked my assistance yesterday like a good little disabled person because we disabled people don't get to be spontaneous in the same way as able bodied people and have to give (at least) two hours notice for our plans or risk getting stranded... But I even did this and he said "I'll see" 😬

The bus driver* decided not to take me, of course. The bus itself had no say, apart from the sticker that says the space is for a wheelchair, but I didn't get to where I could point that out. It's so hard having to be an activist every time I leave the house

I didn't even mention the Uber driver who refused to pick us up with my chair because of "stuff in the boot" - the next driver told us it's policy you have to have an empty boot, and this chair folds pretty small, we had got it in a c class Merc on the way to the pub!

For all their ranting about bus etiquette, neither of them backed me up when the bus decided not to take me in my wheelchair because "there's two prams" (both moving to make room), and then "I'm running late, the next one is only 5 mins away"
