1. A group formed last week called “Progressive Alliance of Wisconsin” is attacking David Crowley, the state’s Democratic nominee for governor, with hundreds of thousands in attack mailers. A Popular Information investigation has linked the effort to GOP operatives.

This old-timey movie poster is pretty great—some kind of multi-culti baseball romantic drama set in the Midwest?

It’s the first day of early voting in Michigan, and I’m heading to Detroit for a rally to support @jocelynbenson.bsky.social, @abdulelsayed.bsky.social, and Democrats working to create change. Make a plan to vote at MichiganDems.com/Vote.

Can't escape feeling skeeved out by the did-she-didn't-she-do-it and damsel-in-distress threads of "You can see everything..." Elizabeth Holmes is a Madoff-level fraudster and cynic who was content to leave poor Americans seeking affordable medical tests with life-threatening results

Today, I’m honored to share that President Obama is supporting our campaign for the U.S. Senate. President @barackobama.bsky.social & I both started as organizers in our communities, because we immediately understood that real changes come from regular folks joining the fight. #AngieForFlorida

“Together we are stronger”

This new electoral vídeo from Pedro Sánchez is quite something. Standing in front of Guernica defending the anti-war stance of his government, limiting military expenditure, denouncing the atrocity of Gaza. English subtitles.

Exempted by Trump from clean air regulations: 202 facilities in 39 states and Puerto Rico, including chemical manufacturers, copper smelters and coal-burning power plants. Approximately 3.3m people live within 3 miles of at least 1 affected facility. Gift link www.nytimes.com/2026/10/24/c...

Important piece. Spam fundraising is like an oil spill. It's in all of our feathers. (It's scammy, inefficient, & egregious elder abuse). I still spend, w/ time & stamps, this cycle for Sherrod & Amy. But we need money out of elections. Yesterday. newrepublic.com/article/2163... via @newrepublic.com

1) This rules 2) Your dad annoying you so profoundly that you drew 478 fish is the most relatable thing I have ever seen.

HulloThere@jethroreading32.bsky.social

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

Because this has some traction, here's our reporting from February on the warehouse putsch.

projectsaltbox.com"Doomed to Failure”Veteran officials know the plan is unworkable. Political leadership doesn't care. And the budget has soared past $55 billion.
Project Salt Box@projectsaltbox.com

Replace "Boeing 737s" with "empty warehouses" and you've got the same play that DHS under Noem pulled. And a source on background told us in February the sales were meant to help well-connected Trump affiliates offload industrial properties that were liabilities on their books.

What's $80m between friends? The idea, argue officials, is tax breaks seed development. But this one is given, observes a former Sun reporter, without requirements that the developers stick to the deal terms, or use union labor. My question: Do they even work? www.baltimorebrew.com/2026/10/22/g...

I also have so many questions about $80m for a "by-the-bed" housing tower for graduate students. Graduate students are adults, often married or in committed relationships

Stay classy, GOP. In 1974, Cledith Arthur, was charged with raping his biological daughter. In 1978, he was charged for raping his step-daughter, Amy Acton. After Acton's mother, fled to Pennsylvania with her daughter's rapist, she was convicted of theft in 1995 and 1996, and animal neglect in 2021.

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

Facebook and Cambridge Analytica gave us not only Trump, but also Brexit. The damage has been so deep and so profound it's incalculable. May the lawsuits keep coming and may Facebook rot in hell these thousand years
