Visiting with The Bull in Syracuse, New York. Edwin Vose Sumner, born 1797 and died in 1863. A Major General in the ACW, he commanded the II Corps of the AotP from the Peninsula Campaign through Fredericksburg.

When we PCSed back to the U.S. in 2016 after 5 years in the field, we had one night of per diem. So we went to the Tysons Corner Cheesecake Factory. My kids were so overwhelmed by the excess of free refills and insane portions.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

The fact that the tree is as old as the United States should not be lost on anyone. What a metaphor.

The Trump administration’s actions resulted in the destruction of the largest ancient Cottonwood tree on Indigenous territory in Arizona. This tree, known as the “Grandmother Tree,” was 250 years old.

The Naval Academy faculty has been roughly 50% civilian and 50% military since its founding in 1845. I was a Chemistry major (1972) and part of the military faculty as a Chemistry instructor from 1975-1978. Civilian profs were the core and foundation of the department.

The Houthi-aligned Bani Hashish tribes are massing in preparation to “liberate” the remaining Yemeni territory outside Houthi control. It’s a sea of Toyotas with mounted machine guns. I think this is what we should mean when we say Toyotathon from now on.

Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? Gotta say this or Chicken Run as a very close second.
