Mostly here to post pictures of closed captions; I don’t want to do it any more than you want to see it. Fan of lots of things. But like, don’t be weird about it ok? He/Him; giving you a finger gun, a wink, and a tongue click as he flees into the forest.

The older I get, the more I feel like Frank Miller might’ve ruined Batman. youtu.be/tgCkmUS1IYI

I keep thinking about how much I liked The Mandalorian and Grogu. Saving a friend is more important than fighting an enemy. Rose Tico says “That’s how we’re going to win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love.”
Used to be that the fate of the Skywalkers’ souls and the fate of the galaxy were obviously and inextricably linked. Maybe Rotta’s soul won’t change the fate of the galaxy, or maybe it will; it is still important either way. I love the willingness of new Star Wars to keep the stakes personal.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu was awesome. The only semi-valid criticism I’ve heard is that it might have been better as a new season of the TV show or a Triple-A video game. Which is the inverse of the only semi-valid criticisms for the Andor series.
In my earliest memories I already loved Star Wars, but was not yet able to follow too much plot, so I thought there were like 10 movies. I still remember finally developing enough to understand that the Cloud City one and the Ice Planet one were the same movie.

Back in the 70s, there was a group of radical anarchic drag performers in San Francisco called The Cockettes who ran around the city doing weird art. This line from a documentary about them goes a long way toward explaining why something like that was possible back then.
I get bummed out regularly that kids can’t just come in from the country with a few hundred dollars and a dirtbag dream and rent the third or fourth shittiest hole of their lives and make a go of it
