Impeach Trump! Impeachment is the tool that the Constitution provides. Charge all his abuses of power. And especially charge bribery, because the Constitution calls out bribery, specifically, as grounds for impeachment and conviction. #ImpeachTrump

The Times has boxed itself into a corner. It doesn't want to appear partisan, but it's impossible to report fully on what Trump is doing without pointing out that he is implementing an authoritarian takeover and that he lies constantly. So the Times shades the truth to appear nonpartisan.

Here's the video in which NYT assistant managing editor Patrick Healy and I go back and forth about whether "lie" should be a forbidden word in Trump coverage. (You can guess where I stand.)

Huge follow-up reporting to my scoop: The Guardian confirmed America Next—the conservative nonprofit founded by Bobby Jindal that was offering students $ to disrupt El-Sayed events—paid a firm registered to Tommy Teepell’s dad Timmy $250k for “canvassing and influencer marketing” against El-Sayed.

Some corporate Democrats and pundits think the party has gone too far "left" and needs to readjust towards the “center.” Rubbish. Where’s the center between democracy and oligarchy, and why would Democrats want to be there?

The “Tommy” shown in this viral video from Abdul El-Sayed is a former staffer for Sen. Josh Hawley and the son of a GOP strategist. For nearly five minutes, El-Sayed questioned the man about his understanding of the Constitution and the religious freedom it affords all Americans. Simply brilliant.

Trump waiving sanctions against Russia is the most predictable thing ever. The silence of some GOP elected officials is likewise the most predictable thing. Throw the trash out in November. This isn’t funny anymore

This story makes it sound like the major problem is that the Trump Admin did this w/in 60 days of an election. Yes, that's a real abuse. But the major problem is they're basically threatening to denaturalize an opposition legislator, based on racist insinuations. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...

Trump calls Somali Americans "garbage" and said today about Ilhan Omar: “She comes from a country that is a non-country." If he'd been alive in 1915, he would've said that about Italians. If it was 1850, he would've said it about the Irish. He traffics in ethnic hate. We have to stop him.

This is attempted murder, a state crime.

The @houstonchronicle.com posted this video and it's pretty jarring. No matter that he was fleeing, law enforcement officers may not use deadly force on someone who poses no significant risk of death or serious injury to others. Deliberately hitting someone with a car is a use of deadly force.

The best regulations provide incentives, not detailed rules. For AI the only regulation needed is to make it clear that AI executives and board members are fully liable for the crimes and the damages that their creations cause.

Oh, this is a useful set of statistics. You can use it to assess just what sort of numbers of JOBS the Government means when it says we need the data centres in Ireland for the JOBS. You’d create more employment running a small chain of centras.

Colin Oatley reposted

By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Donald Trump: widening inequality, economic insecurity, and the unchecked political power of corporations and the rich. Political centrism is nonsense. There is no middle ground between democracy and oligarchy.
