Oh ffs. MPs must stop romanticising this absolute horseshit. Brexiters promised a land of milk and honey and delivered contaminated water and broken biscuits. We don’t want it. And we mustn’t be tied to failure and lies just because politicians want to cover up the utter mess they’ve made.

yes went to bed thinking that's it for the Amazon rainforest - all those billionaires quickly carving it up for profit ... and then real joy this morning - brilliant news

Ian Dunt@iandunt.bsky.social

"There’s not enough room in my chest for all this joy". What incredible news to wake up to. First Serbia, now this www.theguardian.com/world/2026/o...

yes it's going to take a lot of time to recover trust in and love for the US once trump has gone

Ian Dunt@iandunt.bsky.social

Obviously I want the utmost damage to Trump in the midterms, for Congress to constrain him & for a Democrat president in a couple years time. But honestly something broke in my relationship w America when Trump won the second time. I can't imagine feeling excited for an American president again.

not before time

Sarah Murphy@13sarahmurphy.bsky.social

“Trump's British apologists are finally starting to calculate… their potential reward for supporting this lame duck President in the US is no longer worth the growing cost to their reputations in the UK” Too late, Farage. Too much MAGA money. Too much fawning. www.adambienkov.co.uk/p/trumps-apo...

I mean… How long do we have to put up with this shit? We really do get it. Farage’s greed makes him an insane security threat. And there’s absolutely nothing altruistic or democratic or good for the country that will come from his frenzied corruption. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Jenrick: “No one has done more than Nigel Farage to stand up against racism and the far right” Farage has exploded a brexity, anti-immigration, small boats, mass-deportations, ICE-style cruelty, riots and racism bomb on the UK and now stands back and tells us only he can fix the damage he’s caused.

Today's decision by Labour to approve new drilling in the North Sea is climate vandalism. It's a betrayal of all of our futures, and Labour has abandoned all credibility in the fight against climate change. This is a victory for Shell over the people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cw...

Farage is not fit to be in power - banter is dangerous - a form of grooming - testing out the responses for worse to come

Farrukh@implausibleblog.bsky.social

Left: At a Reform UK Christmas party, Farage laughs off schooldays as “banter”, joking he’ll get “a hard time” in 40 years. Right: Peter Ettedgui, whose Jewish grandparents fled Nazis is one of 34 classmates alleging racist or antisemitic abuse. He says Farage told him: “Hitler was right. Gas ’em.”

Judging by recent comments, be aware that Reform UK would throw Freedom of the Press in the bin, and ban all adverse articles - and jail journalists - if they ever got power (just like the Nazi propaganda machine did in 1930s/40s) meme via Selby for Europe

There’s too much caution about calling Farage and Reform racist. They have no such timidity when they threaten to strip us of our rights and protections, to mass deport people and kill them at sea. They routinely insult, perv, vilify and hate people. You don’t ‘nice’ that away. You call it out.

Talk about gaslighting..

Jenrick on #r4today trying to downplay the raging racism of Reform… by saying “Farage has done more than anyone else to stand up against racism and the far right”. Farage the schoolboy Nazi. Farage the ‘breaking point’ Brexiter. Farage the mass-deportations champion. Farage the far right racist.

As long as the Tories are threatening to leave the ECHR, they aren’t a serious party. Consider it the ultimate red flag. Any party who’d take this entirely unnecessary and ruinous risk with our rights and our country’s security and wellbeing should never get its hands on power. (Letter, Times)
