Anyone think it's weird that Japan still censors minors smoking this way? At least in the U.S. when they had someone underage smoke, it was with the intent of showing WHY that's a bad idea. In Japan it's like "There's something going on in this guy's mouth...we can't SAY what it is!"

When people say "Old Anime Feels Real" this is what they're talking about. The light? That's the real world shining through the back of the cel. The colors? Real acrylic paint that physically existed somewhere. Each frame was a photograph, & on some level you trust it implicitly.
