I think there’s a reasonable case that presidential pardons can’t be used as part of a process to facilitate law breaking and trashing of the constitution.
Pretty clear to me there’s a very good case against this man for mass murder, and I’m saying that in as measured a fashion as I can. He’s order the killing of 234 people under no plausible war or legal justification. I am skeptical he will ever face legal accountability for til his but he should.
SANGER: “.. the Iranians sense Mr. Trump’s deep reluctance to restart combat operations that are deeply unpopular in the United States, and most Iran experts say they expect Tehran to try to stretch the negotiations for months or years ..”

The EPA is abandoning a rule that would strengthen limits on fine-particle pollution, a move scientists and experts say could lead to dirtier air and more deaths.
license plate data merged with credit header data, marriage records, vehicle ownership, and voter registrations, in one app for ICE agents. oh and it sends push notifications when someone they're seeking is nearby.

NEW: The lame duck conservative majority on the DougCo School Board plans to use its last meeting Tuesday to pass a 10-year extension for all charter schools without a review of their performance and finances. @marshallglasses.bsky.social reports:
Around 384,800 Mississippians who rely on food assistance will not be able to access SNAP benefits starting Nov. 1 due to the government shutdown, the Mississippi Department of Human Services announced on Friday.
SNAP benefits may be “delayed or may not be issued” next month, the agency said.
Just wild: after the Kirk assassination, a Tennessee man shared a meme on Facebook about Trump's reaction to a school shooting. Somehow the local sheriff interpreted it as itself menacing a school shooting, and the man's been in jail ever since with bond set at $2 million [Matt Cavedon, @cato.org]
From 1965 through 2017 when Obama made a deal with Cuba in his last days in office, Cubans on U.S. soil could not be deported to Cuba. There are senior citizens ordered deported in the 1970s who are still here decades after serving their time. Now Trump is dumping some of them in Mexico.
Stephen Miller being driven out of Arlington is something I’d like to have a time machine to go back and visit teen me, growing up in Arlington, so as to explain. (Also that house is fugly) www.arlnow.com/2025/10/15/t...

I swear all of these conservatives turn Catholic purely for the vibes and get continually surprised by what it’s actually like. This is super normal Catholic stuff.
Far-right Catholics freaking out about the Pope doing normal Pope things will always be entertaining.
The Pope blessed some water? Can you even imagine?
Grijalva: I was looking at the example of now-Representative Walkinshaw from Virginia, who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday. The following Wednesday—less than 24 hours later—he was sworn in, with unofficial results.
So for me, apparently the rules have now changed in just two weeks.
So Democrats shouldn’t call Republicans fascist or gestapo or anything because that could provoke violence, but it is appropriate to call Democrats domestic terrorists or a domestic extremist organization.
Do I have that right?
This is an illegal and dangerous weaponization of the federal government.
That Jack Ciattarelli and the Trump admin are breaking the law and exposing private records for political gain is a violation of anyone who has ever served.
No veteran's record is safe.

When Trump announced changes to the H-1B visa program Friday, it was the middle of the night in India. For some H-1B holders there, the next day and a half was a chaotic race around the world.
More details: ICE goons were turned away at HD Cooke. They tried to seize the school nurse in the parking lot without a warrant, but backed off after staff intervened.
Trump and his cronies are using blatant government coercion to suppress speech they don’t like — a gross violation of the 1st Amendment. Shame on ABC for caving to political blackmail.
We must stand with those who resist the bullies and call out those who appease them. NO KINGS.
Every major talent that works for ABC and Disney should refuse to show up for work until Jimmy Kimmel is reinstated.
Marvel movies need to shutdown. Ditto the sitcoms.
Collective boycott.
Corporations love money more than anything,& this will harm them and force them to do the right thing.
Disney/ABC just caved & pulled Jimmy Kimmel for political reasons.
Nexstar — which owns The CW + 200+ local ABC, NBC, CBS & FOX stations — is part of the same machine.
💥 Boycott Disney. Boycott Nexstar. Boycott their advertisers.
Hit them where it hurts: the $$$.
So the white dude from Fox News said we should kill mentally ill homeless folks, he apologizes and they’re good; @karenattiah.bsky.social posts an accurate quote and says she’s not in the mood to mourn and gets bounced.
Another US strike on a vessel alleged to be smuggling drugs in the Caribbean.
Once again, the specific entity and individuals targeted are not identified—simply labelled as "terrorists." 1/n
i have said this before but when “getting rid of race in admissions” for the administration means “you can’t even try to reach out to underrepresented communities and encourage them to apply and if you do it is illegal discrimination against white people” then the actual goal here is segregation

Stephen Miller: "The last message that Charlie Kirk gave to me before he joined his creator in heaven was he said that we have to dismantle and take on the radical left organizations in this country that are fomenting violence. That was the last message that he sent me ... we are gonna do that."
@mrjamesob.bsky.social Hi James, Maybe a topic for tomorrow's show is to define the definition of free speech. You seem to be getting a lot of flack on Twitter about you playing tapes of Charlie Kirk and they said it dishonoured him.
Politico - President Trump tells reporters "we just have to beat the hell" out of "radical left lunatics," following the killing of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Senate staff just got an alert: "Capitol Police are responding to an incident at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Headquarters. Staff are asked to remain clear of the police activity."
Here’s a story that’s becoming all too common: federal immigration agents using racial and ethnic profiling as a rationale for stopping, questioning and detaining U.S. citizens who they suspect are undocumented.
In June, a Democratic state rep in Minnesota was murdered, and a state senator was shot.
And a couple of days later, Trump said he wouldn't phone Gov. Walz, calling him "whacked out" and "a mess"
BREAKING
A suspect in the shooting of Charlie Kirk is NOT in custody, per the University to multiple outlets.
So the shooter, who reportedly shot Kirk from 200 yards away, is at large.
One day after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on racial profiling, federal agents swarmed a car in Van Nuys.
Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.
There is no justification for this. None.
To put this into context, the judicial warrant for the search at the Hyundai plant named just four people.
Relying on that warrant, ICE detained nearly 500 people. DHS admitted that included U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and people lawfully here on visas.
D.C. Police sent an arrest warrant for the Republican congressman to the U.S. attorney’s office, where interim U.S. Attorney refused to sign it. The case remained under MPD “investigation” until Trump took over.
Then it was promptly, conveniently closed. trib.al/3VYMQps
BREAKING: ICE is sending Russian dissidents back to Russia. When the dissidents arrived in Russia, the Russian authorities were given documents relating to their asylum applications in the US which under US law are confidential. This seems to be part of a secret agreement between Trump and Putin.
