How the turn tables. Who could have seen this coming? Not the galaxy brained rightwing tech bros. Kind of makes me think they might not know what they’re doing with all that AI shit.

That this is in THE WASHINGTON POST is almost too much irony to bear.

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

It’s hard to see this as anything other than institutional capture by ring wing forces of our national broadcaster. The level of coverage of a party with hardly any MPs is unfathomable.

Alex Andreou@sturdyalex.bsky.social

This went on for the rest of the full hour, at which point the BBC apologised for having to go to the weather and urged viewers to follow continuing live coverage on iPlayer. Forty-one minutes of unfiltered, unchallenged propaganda by a far right party with 8 MPs, now third in the polls. Discuss.

So they are “taking time out of their lives” to patrol the streets to make sure they’re safe, but then threaten staff in a pub who won’t serve them. Sure looks like they are keeping people safe, just as long as those people look and act like them. Oh yeah, they have to think like them, too.

No, they were middle-aged men wearing powdered wigs, elaborately embroidered hostess jackets, silk hose, and shoes with enormous buckles and substantial heels. In other words, our Constitution was written and signed by drag queens.

The *second* best thing about a James Talarico win would be how angry this annoying, interfering dork will be at not being able to buy a Senate seat for $200,000,000.

Tech companies they have far took much power over our lives, they need to be broken up so we can have proper journalism and democracy again, so people can think for themselves again.

A judge on Wednesday ordered Meta to pay New Mexico $25 billion after a jury found the company liable for deceiving users about privacy and content moderation policies on Facebook.

This is how democracy dies, when very rich people look after each other and deny freedom of speech and any kind of criticism. Democracy needs plurality of ideas as well as plurality in the ownership of media. It’s time for some trust-busting like we had in the early 1900s to take democracy back

Elon Musk is an enemy of democracy and this must be fully understood and acted on by European leaders.

This is pathetic. Ukraine tested Starlink speed restrictions in Europe and had no issues - the restrictions only exist in Ukraine. The Trump administration is actively helping Russia kill Ukrainians - and risking the lives of US and NATO advisors in Ukraine.
