looks like Musk is back on the menu boys

Team Talarico@teamtalaricohq.bsky.social

NEW AD: Have you seen these anti-Talarico attack ads? Elon Musk paid for nearly all of them. The world's first trillionaire knows if he drags the most corrupt politician in Texas across the finish line, Ken Paxton will owe him everything. Elon Musk: Texas is not for sale.

Extradite him to Ukraine for justice.

I'm not kidding, the guy simply has to be at the very least deported at the end of this. If we're doing "he's not from here" shit, he is the most not from here guy alive. He needs jail or deportation the second it's viable to do it.

This NFL is run like a plantation, where Black Bodies are bought, sold, and traded for the benefit of white “owners.” 🏈 Anyone who still watches the NFL but claims to care about social justice and otherwise “woke” issues, is being very squarely hypocritical. Bury me under this hill.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played the game without having slept. Crazy.

Medicare for All and dismantle private insurance completely. No more profiting off of people’s health.

Oregon is the first state to have every Democratic Member of Congress as a cosponsor of Medicare for All! This is a huge step forward towards making universal healthcare a reality in this country. Which state will be next?

A thing that gets lost in a lot of media discourse is that voters are more pissed off about inflation *now* than they were at peak Biden

Mark Zuckerberg should understand that Republicans won’t always be in charge. If Democrats take the Senate, he will be forced to answer to Congress about his company’s abuse of tax credits to avoid paying its fair share while it builds AI data centers.

In a clip that quickly went viral Saturday night, Democratic US Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed countered a bigoted question about his Muslim faith at a Michigan town hall with a lesson in American government.

Homeowner, far from wealthy.

Charlie Vaske@seavaske.com

Taxing wealth gains from home ownership does not tax the "working class" it taxes the wealthy. Alternatively, we could somehow disallow wealth gains from homeownership, which come from exclusion, but taxation is fair and appropriate too! Property taxes are always better than sales/income tax.

Let’s tax billionaires out of existence before we add more tax burden to the working class. Property taxes are used to close the gap that declining tax rates on the wealthy create.

Ned Resnikoff@resnikoff.bsky.social

Bluesky today reminding me that there are a lot of homeowners out there who consider themselves diehard progressives but will turn into Grover Norquist the second you suggest that taxing the wealth held in their homes is fine and good.

The United States is the most-policed nation in human history. If more police made society’s safer, the United States of America would be the safest nation on Earth. And yet, here we are.

When JFK ran, they said the country would never elect a Catholic president. When Obama ran, they said the country would never elect a Black president. Michiganders care a lot less about how I pray than what I pray for: peace, dignity, basic goodness for all of our kids.

Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.

Stop. Incorrect. Wrong from the standpoint of the individual and of institutions—not sure why you’re trying to distinguish manifestations of the same racism. Racism requires social/institutional power. ONLY white ppl hold this power. Whiteness was designed that way. Please educate yourself.

KalianVirii - BG@kalianvirii.bsky.social

Racism as an institutional tool is one thing. Racism does not distinguish by race or percentage. If you hate an entirety of an ethnic group based on a percieved shared trait you're a racist. Now, being a racist diesn't confer power unless the instituition supports it, which is one sided in N America

A clear violation of the 8th amendment prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment. Abolish the death penalty.

Ah yes, I remember when Trotsky wrote about how Russian workers should be replaced by low wage immigrants from China so that strong Russian boys would have more time to play girls ice hockey. It's right there in the manuscript.

Q: How do you define socialism personally? JD VANCE: I think in reality what it actually means in the American context is you want to replace American workers with foreigners workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports
