Man, imagine you're minding your own business, getting kind of drunk with your friends at a picturesque brewery in Maine, when suddenly John Roberts walks by and you get to start heckling him. Must have felt incredible. That's the dream. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/01/u...

For people who never lived in Maine, you should know that it’s highly unusual to treat famous tourists or snowbirds like this. It’s generally bad for the tourism business for locals to do anything other than treat them like any other tourist or snowbird.

It’s quite telling that media and political elites are so confused by how normal people react to unethical & criminal behavior.

Good option! There are so many good, 1-2 word chants. 😂 I just don’t want the message to be unclear or lose volume, as sometimes happens when people try to chant. I’ve been in enough protests to know!

I saw Alberto Gonzalez at a Nashville restaurant a couple years after he wrote the torture memo, but was too chickenshit to confront him.

Not nearly as cool but my husband was pumping gas when GWB's motorcade drove past. He flipped double birds and yelled: fucking warmonger A state trooper blocking traffic laughed. 😊

I have fond memories of being in Seaside Heights, NJ when my friend got the call that Chris Christie was doing a photo op on the boards. We all went and heckled him for being a piece of shit, it was great

John Roberts is such a generic-looking white guy, I’d never be able to recognize him out of context. Props to the slightly drunk folks who pulled that off

I was at that brewery a few weeks ago and it is extremely picturesque and also all over all of the roads leading to the boat dock in Port Clyde, there are yard signs saying basically "John Roberts go fuck yourself"

hopefully the sinister six will remain mostly shielded and quartered like hostages for the rest of their pitiful, worthless lives. no justice no peace.

In DC, a few years ago, in the Willard lobby Rep. Rohrabacher stopped by to shake hands. One man introduced him to the group as GOP member for Moscow. (And later said he'd hoped for that opportunity for years.) Be prepared

It's like 2.5 hours from the Portland airport to the Monhegan Ferry, and then over an hour on the boat. Sure Roberts probably took private transport for most of it, but even so, imagine taking this, like, many-step journey to a spot waaay out there & then immediately getting yelled at by island folk

Call. 📞☎️📱The mere threat of impeachment ought to make Roberts and his gang very nervous. They know how hated they are: 202-224-3121 Use @resist.bot Press hard on your members of Congress. Text ‘sign PJLUSS’ to 50409 resist.bot/petitions/PJ...

One of the biggest political changes in the last two years is Democrats' belated recognition that they don't have to feel guilty about this stuff. John Roberts is bad, and he should feel bad.

Especially since he NEVER has to justify or answer for his decisions. He’s the ultimate “because I said so” official.

Pascal's Wager When This Guy Fucking Sucks suggests that I might have another opportunity to see Prince and David Bowie in Heaven, but I'll never, ever, ever see Roberts there.

I totally understand your decision and would probably choose to see Prince and Bowie. That said, I understand enough about myself to know that my impulsivity would not allow me to remain silent near Roberts or the other 5.

Being rude to our conquerors. Oh boy that'll teach em' They are laughing all the way to the bank and back. Although, I do hope to get arrested at the very least when I see one.

I love this for him. He deserves far worse and hopefully jail time in his future. There will be an entire wing of MAGA Republican fraudsters, rapists, murderers and pedophiles.

John Roberts is a criminal and should be impeached. He wrote an opinion that’s not tethered to the constitution or the law when he wrote the immunity decision putting a man above the law for the first time since our founding. Roberts is a fucking traitor to the constitution and the country.

This should happen more often. They should not feel welcome in society. Jeer them at restaraunts, boo then at events. They want to harm minorities and take away power from the people. Embarrass them.

These clowns should never know a moment of peace or enjoy a quiet meal in public for the rest of their lives. Whatever the consequences of heckling them are it's worth it.

A much-needed, public corrective. I’m reminded of how the Bushes used to escape to their Maine resort, as if the public still didn’t despise their conduct.

If large swathes of the general public are often inclined to chanting "you should be ashamed" when they encounter you in the general public, maybe the problem is you, and not everyone else.

In John Roberts's mind, this lack of respect for him and his fellow traitors is the greatest travesty in American history

start talking his ear off about grain bills and triple IPAs until he declares that rent is theft. Probably take 2-3 minutes

he should be ashamed. and he should be investigated and indicted and end up in jail. if we want to save the planet. b/c if we don't hold powerful people to account, they won't stop. we have to stop them.

I live near his island; there are signs all over the place insulting him, and every so often a kayak/canoe flotilla goes out to his beachfront to heckle him. Maine as a state can go either way, but the Midcoast near his place is blue af.
