Still trying to understand how Napster got shut down, but Anthropic is going public and still hasn’t paid us authors yet after stealing our work.

Here’s a message for the naysayers that are complaining about what is — and isn’t — happening in my case against AG Todd Blanche: I AM NOT SURRENDERING. I know the value of my work and I know what it means to be fighting for truth and accountability. I know what this case means for the survivors.

Fox host: President Trump said you all should have a debate… Is that in the works? Are you requesting one with him? Ken Paxton (lying): Oh well, no, look... We can never quite work out the details.

Social Security is a promise. You work hard, pay into the system, and get the benefits you've earned at retirement. But now, the Social Security trust fund is projected to run out in 2032. I’m fighting to protect Social Security for the next generation.

Last thing: greed. That's how we all of us enshittified America. Greed and selfishness and status-hoarding and corruption. Me me me. That's the only true explanation for how a wealthy, powerful republic traded every good thing about itself for the empty promises of a life-long con man.

As I was standing by this gas pump filling up my truck with six dollar gas I couldn’t help but think that this was a small price to pay so that every child wanting to play sports in elementary school has to submit to mandatory genital inspections

Mifepristone is safe and effective—and has been widely used for over 30 years. In fact, it’s safer than viagra. But Trump officials want to rip away access to medication abortion in ALL 50 states. It was never about states’ rights—it was ALWAYS about controlling women.

The Dolly Parton quote that has stuck with me since the first time I heard it, and I've said it plenty of times myself: "I'm not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I'm not dumb... and I also know that I'm not blonde." Rest well, Dolly, know how much you are loved. ❤️

If you can find common ground with Jared kusher, but not zohran mamdani, you shouldn't be in democratic leadership

“Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat of New York and the minority leader, met privately in recent weeks with Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and top outside adviser, and discussed potential areas of common ground, according to five people with knowledge of the meeting.” BRUH.

Private equity has mowed its way through a thousand industries in America—rolling up competitors, then selling off the businesses for parts, sucking out the value, and leaving nothing but a shell behind. We must stop Wall Street looting and rein in private equity.

Wasn’t John Eastman, along with others in Trump’s circle, the ones who claimed that Kamala Harris got to the top by giving sexual favors? These people can 🤬

Republicans have the majority in the Senate and House and they're telling you they cannot rein Trump in, so stop giving them power. They're telling you they refuse to use it.

It's not often that I read a judge’s ruling and start cheering out loud. Yesterday’s order in Trump’s IRS case was a welcome instance. My write up at the link in comments.

Investment accounts owned by President Trump engaged in more than 300 previously undisclosed stock purchases on April 8, 2025, one day before his surprise announcement that he would pause a number of his “Liberation Day” tariffs, his financial disclosure report says.

Look if you think it’s fine for Trump to corruptly get a red card revoked (or “suspended”) bc FIFA is already corrupt, maybe you understand the MAGA mindset better than you think. “All politicians are corrupt so it’s ok for Trump to be corrupt” is a very common maga rationalization

dcatich.bsky.social reposted

By his own admission, he had no idea what a red card was, but he knew -- better than the ref, better than FIFA -- that what Balogun did did not meet the standards for getting a red card, which, again, he had never heard of before. This is like watching JD lecture the pope, but more corrupt.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump on Balogun: "That wasn't even an infraction...this referee, who is a little bit suspect if you check his past. He made a call nobody could believe...he's our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn't know what that meant...yes, I asked for a review by FIFA."

AI execs want us to hand over our data, water, and energy—while we face potential job loss, high utility bills, and more. For what? So billionaires can keep cashing out? Nope. We need to tax AI and invest in people.

As with some other things, i suspect if we have another dem president we will discover that the court did not so much transfer power to the executive as to themselves, ie they will find novel bullshit reasons to block a dem president the same way the find novel bullshit reasons to enable trump

I really don’t understand true greed. If I was worth $1 trillion, you’d have to physically stop me from solving as many of the world’s problems as possible. Everyone would have a home, food on the table, proper healthcare, happiness. I just don’t get it.
