Mike Rogers is a straight up liar, added and abetted by Bari Weiss's CBS and Brett Baier's Fox.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

Welker: "El-Sayed has denounced the Muslim Brotherhood." Mike Rogers: "No, he has not." Welker: "He did in an interview with me." Rogers: "I get you guys want to defend this guy, but I think it's unbelievable you would not hold him accountable for his beliefs."

Trump, man of the people. Just the rich people though.

President Trump temporarily waived clean-air rules for industrial facilities that spew cancer-causing gases. Then his appointees worked to gut the regulations altogether. Our investigative reporter Eric Lipton explains how corporate interests took power inside the EPA. Read more: nyti.ms/4il3336

We are seeing a hunger disaster unrolling before our eyes. Since Republicans passed the Big Beautiful Bill, 2 million kids have lost food assistance. These are by far the deepest SNAP cuts in history, and each month, we find out it’s even worse than we thought. The worst is yet to come.

Katie Bergh@katiebergh.bsky.social

In the wake of unprecedented cuts in last year's Republican reconciliation law, SNAP participation & spending have been falling — and the decline is much deeper than the Congressional Budget Office initially projected. www.cbpp.org/blog/congres...

It's only a difference of degree between Bari Weiss actively pursuing the conspiracy theories on X and other reporters passively having their worldview warped by the insanities they're exposed to there

Justin Baragona@justinbaragona.bsky.social

Of course Bari Weiss has pushed CBS reporters to pursue the James Talarico was in a mental hospital and Abdul El-Sayed is tied to the Muslim Brotherhoid stories. Of course she has. www.semafor.com/article/10/1...

Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Tesla paid just 4.9% of their profits in federal corporate taxes in 2025. They've seen their collective tax bill drop by $95B thanks to two rounds of Trump tax cuts. Meanwhile, tech layoffs in 2026 have already surpassed 2025. Trickle-down economics was always a scam.

I don’t think it makes sense for a U.S. national broadcast news network to make decisions about what to air based on the foreign editor’s focus group of Israelis.

Jon Passantino@passantino.bsky.social

This is an actual reason why Bari Weiss’ CBS foreign editor told staff that they could not include reporting on Netanyahu receiving advance warning of a Hamas attack before Oct 7. The astonishing tirade in @status.news www.status.news/p/bari-weiss...

This whole thread about today's hearing regarding the cutting down of hundreds of trees by the NPS is incredible, but this bit where the judge says "why don't you sit back and think about it" is just straight up a judge who is out of fucks to give.

What a sad state of affairs when a president can joke about letting Iran “take out” Los Angeles or San Diego and it barely makes news. Can you imagine the outrage if any other president said that? America – we can do better than this.

There's a new wave of Democratic ads across the country that are somehow brutally partisan and incredibly effective and it's going to take some time for me to get used to this?

While I'm enjoying the humiliation justifiably being heaped on Senator Eric Schmitt, I don't don't think enough mockery is being directed at his accomplice, Senator Kennedy, the Cornpone Clown, with this stupidly victorious expression as he smugly holds up the ridiculous "evidence."

Symbols matter. White House isn't a palace. Kennedy Center is for the general public to enjoy. We don't have a triumphal arch in DC because that's imperial. We don't put the president's face on money because it's monarchical. It's about tearing down everything that says we're a democratic republic.

Scott 𐚁 🦇 Cave 🦇@hellabarnes.bsky.social

I know there’s a savvy take that being attached to the east wing or the kennedy center is a sort of west wing lame-o attachment to the symbols of power and on the other hand he fucking bulldozed our collective property

If this data was about the cash flow of a major economy, it would be covered by media everywhere. But as it 'only' shows global heat flow, it won't be covered anywhere..

🚨The most important NASA graph in the world has another 6 months of data, and it looks even worse. 🚨 NASA CERES satellites measure how much sunlight Earth absorbs and how much heat is radiated back to space. The difference is heat accumulation, which has more than tripled over the past 26 years!

What makes it even more reprehensible for Trump to give average Americans grief for a few vacation days when Congress gives itself MANY more is that Congress is avoiding working to protect Donald Trump. They don’t want to vote on anything that exposes his pedophilia.

Sometimes I can’t even fully process the catastrophe that RFK Jr. has unleashed upon the United States. It is infuriating and demoralizing that tens of thousands of scientists and healthcare professionals banded together to oppose his confirmation, and Republicans just blithely ignored us all.

USPS’s job is to deliver the mail even if some mailed ballots genuinely are fake, illegal, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid. It’s on election administrators to catch and reject those, and they do. USPS has no role in it and the very idea mucks up the systems we actually have for election integrity.

Paul Waldman@paulwaldman.bsky.social

I understand the confidence about how this will all end, but I'm still livid at the Postmaster General for having the gall to say the USPS has the right to decide who gets to vote, when the USPS's actual job is to DELIVER THE GODDAMN MAIL, including every ballot, whether Donald Trump likes it or not
