Just to be clear, Justice Alito's majority opinion in Callais goes out of its way to purport to distinguish the 2023 ruling in the Alabama case. Now comes Alabama asking the Court to say "actually, these cases *aren't* different, and Justice Kagan's charge to that effect in her dissent was correct."
