The situation with AI perfectly illustrates how can't be climate conscious without being anti-capitalist. The surge in generative technologies is intrinsically linked to capitalism's need for exponential growth, as both cannot exist without the exploitation of land and people.

Feels appropriate to say that the gains made in the current tentative agreement represent a great deal of work from the many involved. My comment is strictly about the AI provisions or lack thereof. Y'all probably knew that. But I don't want to be disrespectful or dismissive.

I voted NO! Restricting AI to protect our interests is THE existential priority right now and this is beyond insufficient. It's nothing.
